   ❝ well, when you’re in a house full of vampires, that’s expected, yeah ? ❞ she hopped up onto her bed and quickly crossed her legs under her, hands sitting between her legs. today was a chill out day, her being in comfy pajamas and a bag of chips and a sprite on her bedside table. the tv was on some comedy movie but was muted when dan had walked into the room. she felt so comfortable around dan, he was lucky to see her in this type of position.❝ or are you just talking about my room, huh ? ❞ she smirked.❝ i’m glad to see you back, daniel. you left for a long time. ❞

“It feels like it’s been an eternity” he admitted

Saturday wasn’t a woman he took lightly,  She was successful of planting her seeds into the back of his mind.  But with that there was no need to hide his true self... well no obligation anyway

“Never thought I’d see a grown women slumming like a teenage boy” He teased with his signature smirk. “I’m not interrupting you now am I?”

   ❝ oh, do i ? no… i think i am fine. ❞ he shrugged. he didn’t feel on guard, but maybe that was because he was used to the feeling. he needed to protect his home and the people inside of it, and he knew that. maybe that’s why he was used to it. and he hadn’t seen this man in some time, but he remembered who he was. the thing he sort of forgot, was how this man had actually found his home in the first place. and… his name. what was his name ? donald ? he couldn’t put his finger on it at the moment. 

   he snapped back to reality. ❝ right, you thought of me. i suppose that is a nice thing to hear, unless you were thinking of me in a bad way. ❞ simply put, really. ❝ were you ? ❞

“Easy, I’m not here to cause any harm.”  -he found his free hand placed on the patriarch- “Just wanted to see how things were and how this old place was holding up” -his eyes shifted towards the manor drinking in the view before turning back to Damian- “You know... you’ve never told me the story of how this place came together.  Something tells me it doesn’t involve calling a realtor.” -a small smile emerged from his face-

*he paused for a moment to think how to frame his response* “…. Tense, feel like time slipped through my fingers and I have to reexamine everything around me..” he proceeded to investigate his new environment “New Place?”

“That is a weird way to feel but then again most of it could probably be true. It happens sometimes. But yeah, had to have a new home in a new place. After all, I like having someplace to sleep and actually feel safe.”

He found a seat and placed his weapon on a table next to him. "I'm gonna have'ta get my timelines straight.." he said placing a finger to his temple. "What exactly happened to your old place? And what have you been up to?"

"Damian Damian... how presumptuous" he remarked eyes closed shaking his head to hide a smile "I'm here because I thought of you and how we met so long ago. You sure seem on guard on your special day" his tone was unclear he could just as easily be toying with him or dialing down his defenses.

-The hellion's displeasure was evident, spitting a mouthful of someone's (or something's) blood into the pool.  It wasn't so much that He was covered head to toe in a vat of blood, but more so that he had no idea where he was or how he ended up there.  He began to tread over to the edge to hold himself up.-

"If someone's here you better explain yourself!" -His heated tone matched only by his fiery glare.-

-Slightly shaking his head Dan scoffed-

Wasn’t looking to start soul searching here ki… Viper -he corrected himself- More along the lines of looking for any signs that you’d be stuck in a situation where you’d have to leave, or even leading me into a trap… -He looked back up with a sharp smile- but we’re “friends” here and I’m sure you wouldn’t do something like that to me now would you? -He asked slyly maintaining eye contact with the young killer-

Viper glanced up at the older male, giving a small smirk.

"Now why would I ever do that? I am quite insulted that you would even think something like that about me." She said it with a sigh, adding on a tone of injury to her speech, placing a hand over her heart and shaking her head just slightly.

Wasn't saying you were planning on it.  It's possible you could be forced to set me up for all I know. -He went on to make his case- I'm not here to make accusations Viper, but I need to cover my own ass rather than walk right into a trap like a moron. -He said with a grin while he coincidentally glanced at a picture of Shadow-

Thinking about it for a moment, Viper had trouble thinking of a answer that did not sound stupid..Or maybe it made more sense then she really though but she was just reluctant to tell how much she thought about the issue of calling someplace home.

"……This is not home. I don’t have a home. Home is someplace you belong. I don’t belong here. I work here and yes I have friends here, that now seems to have gone underground, but I do not belong here. So might as well move on.."

Hell even Viper was not sure what had happened. All she knew is that one day Shadow had been gone, only a note left behind and a phone call every now and then since.

Giving a slight nod over it, Viper looked around the place she had called home for some time now. She was probably going to miss it a lot here.

"I don’t think there is a lot of things to finish up…And Shadow won’t be joining. He will know where we are if he wants to come later, but for now…He is off someone that I don’t even know where."

She did not give more of a explanation then that, not really sure what to say about it after all.

Well the island’s been lacking much activity, and as you’d expect it gets pretty uncomfortable in this hot weather all the time.. -he added wiping the sweat from his brow-

I was thinking maybe relocating to the mountains.. with all the inner conflict and militarized activities there should be plenty of work.. Wanted to invite you to come along. -He explained with a clear tone, resting his eyes on Viper, patiently awaiting her response.-

"Yes pardon me for expecting people to have better manners then to just walk right in even if the door is open."

Hell she was saying that now, but it was nice not having to get up and go to the door to answer it every time someone knocked on it. Her lazy side was getting the best of her lately after all.

"Don’t want to admit that you would miss me if I stayed here huh?" She teased, giving him a grin before thinking about it. It had been very quiet around lately and she did miss working. "Alright, when do we leave then?"
