Santa Tracker Showdown 2025

Do you ever think about how there's multiple different Santa Trackers out there? And how none of them are tracking quite the same Santa? Someone should figure out which Santa is the best Santa. And that someone is us. Run by @wayslidecool and @flatwoods-cryptid!

The Santa Tracker finished their trip at the end of the countdown, with the stats being wiped after, so let's do a final check-in with everyone else too (though other sites don't erase their numbers right away so I'll be able to give true final counts)

-NORAD Santa is almost done in the continental US, visiting Vegas at the time of writing. He's delivered 7.366 billion gifts so far, with not much time left.

-Google Santa, meanwhile, still has much of the western half of the continent to go, and has officially fallen back behind NORAD at 7.35 billion gifts delivered as he approaches Mexico City.

-Fusible Santa is over in Idaho, having delivered 3.06 billion gifts so far, and eaten 351 thousand cookies. Here's hoping there's enough leftover now that The Santa's done.

-Santa Update still has a bit to go on the west coast, but he's almost done with America too, with his last sighting being by the Gulf of California.

Might be my last post of the night, but I'm not done quite yet!

-NORAD Santa is making steady progress, with 6.7 billion gifts delivered as he approaches Wyoming. That's still behind Google at this late hour, will they be dethroned?

-Google, meanwhile, has delivered 7.18 billion, as he heads towards the Galapagos islands. Let's see if that lead can hold as he still has some long travel over less densely populated areas.

-Something has gone terribly wrong with The Santa Tracker. As he approaches Alaska, the map has gone dark (or rather, white), and reporting only visiting 18 million homes, and having eaten not even 8 million cookies nor drank 7 million glasses of milk.

-Fusible Santa finds himself now in Minnesota, having delivered 2.58 billion gifts, and eaten 260,500 cookies. Even after The Santa's data was lost, they still trail behind on cookies....

-What I believe to be the last of the bedtime advisories from Santa Update have been issued, with the most recent sightings putting him near Monterrey, Mexico. And with those far out late bedtime advisories, maybe it's time I listen too.

It makes sense given I've been watching all day (I mean, it's already ticked over to Christmas here), but actually looking at the map, it feels weird seeing how little is left.

He knows that we're awake! So be good for goodness sake!

-As I type this, NORAD Santa just stopped at my home state. Hope doing this won't throw off his route too much! As for gifts delivered, he's rapidly closing in on 6.2 billion!

-Google Santa is also along the eastern US, currently in Virginia, and having delivered 6.8 billion! We are reaching the end here all around.

-The Santa Tracker was also reporting him in my state as I checked it, though I'll be fine here if my house isn't one of the 321 million he's stopped at so far, don't need our cookies and milk adding to his 137 million and 119 million consumed respectively.

-Santa Update has seemingly not stopped in the USA yet, with the most recent sighting listed putting him near Anticosti Island. Although, bedtime advisories have reached all the way to the west coast.

-Fusible Santa, meanwhile, is seemingly bouncing between Canada and South America, currently in Los Teques, Venezuela, having delivered 1.875 billion gifts and eaten 50,000 cookies.

Night has fallen here, but Santa remains on the move!

-Starting with NORAD, he's up in Canada now, on his way to Halifax at the time of typing. He's closing in on 5.4 billion presents! And this might be the chance he needs, because...

-As Google traverses the Atlantic ocean, making a stop at South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, his rate of delivery is nearly zero, being all but frozen at 5.78 billion. Sure once he reaches the mainland things will speed up again, but until then...

-Santa Update sees him having recently arrived in Iceland, with early sleep advisories all the way in Central America now. Not seeing any updates on present production, I hope things are still on schedule.

-The Santa's on his way to Guyana, having visited over 284 million homes, eaten 121 million cookies, and drank 105 million glasses of milk. No I do not have more specific information on where exactly than Guyana.

-Fusible Santa is making his way through Brazil, currently in Codo. He's delivered 1.113 billion presents, and eaten 32,700 cookies. Their website still says it's going live at 5 AM here, it's past 9 PM

Santas are arriving in the Americas!

-With almost 4.7 billion presents delivered, NORAD Santa has recently made his first stop in Brazil! We're pretty far along now, but still plenty to go!

-Google Santa seems farther behind on his route, but is still in the lead when it comes to presents! Currently at 5.3 billion delivered as he's heading to Lome, Togo.

-Santa Update seems even farther behind, with his last notable sighting being near Dortmund, Germany! Maybe he's deliberately slowed down a bit because of the whole gift debacle?

-The Santa Tracker, meanwhile, has recently made his annual stop to Antarctica, and is now heading to Cordoba, Argentina! He's visited 252 million homes, and eaten over 107 million cookies, drinking over 93 million glasses of milk. How many of those do you think were from Antarctic research bases?

=Finally, Fusible Santa is currently working through the UK, currently in Belfast, having delivered 1.02 billion gifts and eaten 30,400 cookies. He's still likely a ways out from crossing the Atlantic though given how much of Africa he still has to visit (assuming he will).

I know posts have been slow, but that doesn't mean I'm stopping!

-Santa Updates is saying the presents should be done in time (to the surprise of no one reading this), which is good because we're starting to get sleep advisories over in the Americas. Still have time before he's actually here though, given he's in eastern Europe still (and hasn't stopped in Africa at all.)

-Google Santa has delivered over 4.8 billion presents, currently setting course for Salzburg, Austria. A considerable lead, but there's still the Atlantic ocean to slow him down.

-NORAD Santa comes in with 4.1 billion gifts delivered as he moves to Tunis, Tunisia. So about halfway done, but still behind Google. Will he be able to catch up?

-The Santa's begun crossing the ocean already, with 226 million homes visited, 96 million cookies eaten, and 84 million glasses of milk.

-Fusible Santa recently crossed 1 billion gifts delivered! And only 26,000 cookies. Someone please feed him. He's in Amsterdam, keep an eye out.

Oh I am really overdue for another check-in wow!

-Starting with NORAD Santa, he has delivered over 3 billion presents as he travels to Antalya, Turkey! His unchanging steady pace is an inspiration to us all.

-Google, meanwhile, has delivered almost 4 billion as he approaches Moscow! But with China and India both behind him, it's likely he'll slow down now. Will that lead hold?

-The Santa is making his way to Uganda. Where in Uganda? Couldn't tell you. What I can tell you is that he has visited 175 million homes, and apparently not even half of them have left him cookies and milk, which stand at 75 million and 65 million consumed respectively.

-Santa update looks to have been last seen around Kaashidhoo, Maldives. There are sleep advisories beginning to be issued to parts of Europe and Africa as Santa comes closer, and the present production plotline sees them getting closer and closer to their final deadline. Wouldn't it be funny if it ended with them still not making enough?

-Fusible Santa has arrived in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, having delivered 840 million presents and eaten a truly sad 23,000 cookies. I don't think The Santa's even been here yet, please eat more!

Approaching Major Milestones!

-Starting with the big one, as Google Santa approaches Lhasa, China, they are also closing in on 2.5 billion gifts delivered!

-Coming in next, NORAD Santa's at 1.9 billion as he approaches Norilsk, Russia. It'll likely be a while until he catches up, but it's still very possible.

-The Santa has recently crossed a notable barrier, having recently eaten 50 million cookies! Also closing in on 120 million houses visited but I'm not sure how worried about that he is about that in the grand scheme of things. He was in China when I started writing this post, but he suddenly jumped to be traveling from India to Russia. I swear it wasn't like this in past years.

-Fusible Santa recently arrived in the Philippines, having now delivered 144 million presents and eaten a pitiful 14,000 cookies. Someone find a way to stop The Santa so Fusible can eat!

-Latest broadcasts from Santa Update report sightings over North Korea. Wish we had numbers to report on this one, but what can you do?

Check-in time yet again!

-NORAD Santa is making his way through China, heading towards Chengdu at the time of writing, and has already delivered over 1.42 billion presents!

-Google Santa's there to though (more or less, he's going to Changsha) and has actually pulled ahead, now at 1.46 billion! It's a close race, but I suspect Google's lead will only grow!

-Over with Santa Update, Santa's been seen in Guam, but continuing the toy shortage, they're still behind schedule but closing the gap, roughly 18 hours behind schedule.

-Circling back to China, The Santa Tracker reports him in Xinjiang, quite a bit behind Google and NORAD at not even 100 million homes visited. Though of course his priorities don't align with the others, having eaten 41 million cookies and drank almost 36 million glasses of milk,

-Fusible Santa seems to be a bit behind the others on his route, at Matsumoto, Japan. Though as I was typing this, he jumped ahead in presents from 46 million to 60! Still behind the billions of the others, but gotta give the wins where I can.

I did in fact rest while there's Santas to track but I'm back now!

-The most recent radio broadcasts by Santa Update mentioned him being sighted by Tuvalu, with most recent map updates placing him near Flinders Island. But while Santa seems to be on schedule, it seems there may still be complications in the North Pole. We'll stay tuned.

-Fusible Santa finds himself in Townsville, Australia, having delivered 18 million presents, and eaten 11,000 cookies. At this pace the other Santas have probably visited a lot of these houses, is that why these numbers are so low?

-Google Santa is making his way north. currently stopped in Yokohama, Japan, with over 470 million presents delivered! We're closing in on the 500 million milestone!

-NORAD Santa, meanwhile, has already passed over a billion! As he heads towards Babeldaob, Palau, one has to wonder how he managed such a lead from his late start. But how long will it hold?

-The Santa Tracker has fallen behind pace as he approaches Laos, having only visited 77 million homes. He's handily beating Fusible Santa in terms of cookies eaten though, with over 32 million, as well as 28 million glasses of milk.

I did not get enough sleep last night but I will not rest while there's Santas to be tracked

-Despite the late start, NORAD has already taken a commanding lead, rapidly approaching 500 million gifts delivered as he arrives in Suva, Fiji!

-Google Santa lags behind now at 40 million, but once he reaches denser population centers you can be sure he'll be able to catch up! As of now though, he is working through parts of Russia, heading to Vladivostok at the time of writing.

-Even The Santa Tracker has an edge over Google as he heads towards Hong Kong, having visited 50 million homes, and of course eaten over 21 million cookies and drank 18 million glasses of milk.

-Santa Update has officially declared sleep advisories across all of Australia, with our most recent sightings placing him in Fiji as well.

-Fusible unsurprisingly comes in dead last of trackers providing numbers, still shy of 8 million gifts delivered and less than 10,000 cookies eaten. I can't imagine any of the others specifying multiple stops in Kiribati though, so credit where it's due!

I was watching The Santa Tracker for a bit, and sure enough the data seems wrong. Not only is the clock for arrival times an hour off, but the last location is entirely incorrect, as I know he is heading to Amurskaya from South Korea, and yet in both cases it says his previous location was Papa New Guinea (and no, they still haven't fixed that in the years we've been watching)

One hour in. Surely things are moving now?

-NORAD is finally taking off, though about an hour late. Despite that he's rapidly catching up, having already delivered over 10 million before he's even properly left the arctic! With that delay

-As I type this, Santa Update reports the first deliveries, arriving in New Zealand! I do not want to keep listening to Kringle Radio all day, but it's the only way I can make sure I don't miss anything.

-Google, meanwhile, has just left Christchurch, now closing in on 35 million gifts! Though in the time between this section and the first, NORAD is almost at 30

-The Santa Tracker's still hard to follow exactly, but it appears he's moving on to east Asia now, having visited Taiwan earlier (probably) and now heading to Tokyo at 28 million houses visited.

-To close out this check, Fusible Santa is still a bit behind the others at Upper Hutt, with a bit under 6 million presents delivered.

Half an hour out, how are our Santas faring?

-The Santa Tracker, while the positional data seems unreliable, he's apparently visited 18 million houses, having eaten over 8 million cookies and drank 7 million glasses of milk. Supposedly he's going to Palau but, who knows this year?

-Google, meanwhile, is en route to Kiribati, having recently passed 3 million deliveries.

-The website's not working for me, so I had to install the app for Fusible Santa Tracker. He's in eastern New Zealand, having delivered a bit under 600k presends and eaten 1410 cookies.

-Still no confirmed gifts from Santa Update, but supposedly according to the radio it should be soon!

-NORAD... still hasn't taken off.

The Santa Tracker's data feels unreliable so far. I've seen his supposed next major stop change 3 times now, all of which over an hour away. Despite this, he has already consumed over 5 million cookies and milk in 13 million houses visited. Google Santa, meanwhile, has begun in Russia, and will likely cross 100k presents delivered as I type this. Still awaiting takeoff from the others.
