Did anyone ever write a fanfic where a character has a similar experience as Severus Snape but instead of Lily they were in love with James Potter. They have an opposite reaction to Harry. Since he looks like James they develop an unwavering loyalty to Harry and treats him as family.

They try to keep him safe and loved.

They tell Harry stories of his dad’s pranks.

Cheers the loudest when his team wins a quidditch match.

Remembers and reminds Harry how much James’ loved him

Acknowledges that they never had a chance against Lily and admires her for her bravery.

Their patronus is a stag.

Gabriel Prompt Request

This was requested by @theycallmequeenie: 46. “Hold me just a little longer.” with Gabriel? I hope you guys enjoy this! :)

You weren’t accustomed to falling asleep without Gabriel.  While he was in the apocalyptic universe, you were stuck in the bunker.  Rowena let you go back to your room for some rest while she kept watch over Lucifer.  You figured you would try to get some rest for the time being.

Your eyebrows furrowed together at the sudden change of your surroundings.  You knew this had to be Gabriel’s doing.  Your dreams didn’t happen like this.  It was a sudden change that interrupted the natural flow of your dream.

“Gabriel,” you shouted as you looked around.  “Where are you?”

In a matter of a few seconds you were pulled into Gabriel’s arms.  He was holding you tightly; the tightest he ever had.  His lips were pressed to the top of your head.  There was something desperate about the way he was acting and it worried you.  Regardless of your concerns, you couldn’t help but wrap your arms around the archangel.

“Hold me a little longer [Y/N],” Gabriel whispered.  His breath warmed your forehead as he spoke.  It was as if this was real, but you knew it could only be a dream.  “I want you to remember this moment, okay?”

Before you could ask Gabriel what he meant, you could feel his form fade away.  Your dream returned to its previous setting.  You forced yourself awake, hoping that Gabriel was okay and that your dream was just another figment of your subconscious.

Defend (Crowley)

They had just got back from confronting Lucifer with the sudden appearance of Amara and were now sitting in the kitchen. 

Y/N took a huge gulp of her beer, trying to take her mind off the fact that Cas was stuck with Lucifer while being tortured by Amara. She was stressed. Everything was going wrong and she couldn’t handle all the pressure, she was going to explode soon... or now.

“So, Rowena and Crowley... like mother, like son, huh? They both took exactly one split second to take off when things started going south.” Sam said while opening up a few more beers for him, Dean and Y/N.

“Yep.” Dean said. 

“Enough!” Y/N shouting, abruptly standing up making her chair fall. Sam and Dean both flinched at the volume of her voice. Y/N grabbed her phone dialed a number and, if this is even possible, angrily placed it next to her ear. 

After a few seconds, Sam and Dean heard a voice through the receiver, “Well, well, if it isn’t little miss sunshi--” 

“Crowley, get your ass over here right now!” Y/N then hung up and crossed her arms in impatience. It was as if they were being haunted because of the sudden chill that was sent through Sam and Dean’s backs at the glare they were at the receiving end of.

“Uh-- hello boys. Hello... darling?” Crowley had just appeared in the middle of the kitchen. He sent looks towards the Winchesters as if to say ‘What the hell!?’ The turned toward Y/N with a hesitant smile.

Y/N grabbed Crowley by his shoulders and faced him towards Sam and Dean. “Okay, you two listen to me. This demon has been such a help for all of us every single time we get stuck or in trouble. Every. Single. Time. Yes, he may ask something in return, but in case you didn’t know, HE IS A FREAKING DEMON! It is a miracle he even helps us after all of the things that you have done to him. He has risked his life several times for all of us! Don’t you think he deserves a simple thank you for battling it out with freaking Lucifer while trying to save Cas and not you two moaning over how, ‘Oh! Crowley left after sensing a whole lot of danger, how mean. What are we gonna do?’” Y/N exclaimed in frustration. 

Sam and Dean simply stared at Y/N after her outburst. Crowley, with his right ear slightly ringing at her constant shouting, was amazed at someone actually defending him. He turned to look at her with awe. Her face was red with anger, which of course, kinda turned Crowley on. 

“Y/N he is the King of Hell, a demon, I-I don’t think we sh--” Sam started to say but she cut him off.

“Say thank you!” Dean once again tried to reason with her, but she wouldn’t have it. “SAY IT!”

“Thank you.”

“Uh-- thanks”

Both Winchesters reluctantly thanked Crowley. Y/n sighed and stormed out after whispering a silent thank you to all three men. Eyes turned to look at Crowley.

“Don’t look at me, I didn’t do anything. I’m just as surprised as you are.” Crowley said, eyes wide. He then smirked with an eyebrow raised. “By the way boys, you are so welco--”

“Get out Crowley!”

“Fair enough.”

Y/N finally cooled down and took a nap in her room. It seemed like her strong emotions had stopped her from feeling her exhaustion, but oh, did she feel it. She practically walked in and immediately collapsed on her bed.

With her lightly snoring, Crowley appeared in her room. He walked towards her and gently placed her blanket, so that it was covering her whole body. He removed the hair from her face and kissed her forehead. “Thank you for everything, darling.”

“You’re welcome, Lucky the Leprechaun.”

Ice Cream (Gabriel)

The bell rang, alerting Y/N that a customer had just entered the store. She was working the night shift at an ice cream parlor that her family owned.

"Welcome!" Y/N greeted with a grin. The man that had entered was quite short, but obviously taller than her.

At her greeting, his eyes flickered to her for moment. She almost stopped breathing at how his golden eyes. 'Beautiful' she thought, watching him skim through the choices. The man chuckled, as if hearing her thought. 'No, that's impossible.'

"What would you like, sir?"

"Hmm... I'll have three scoops of vanilla." He said pointing through the glass at his chosen flavor.

"Any toppings?" The parlor had a vast number toppings. From the usual hot fudge to gummy bears.

"Everything."

She looked up from the cash register, shocked. "Everything?" She asked. He nodded with a grin, slapped 100 bucks on the counter and left to sit down.

After 5 minutes, Y/N was carefully walking toward the stranger with the unusual and heavy order balancing on a tray.

"Here your order and your change, sir."

"Gabriel."

Y/N stopped and turned around to look at him. "What?"

"My name is Gabriel. Please don't call me 'sir', sweetcheeks."

She blushed at his little name for her, a little irritated. "My name is Y/N. Please don't call me 'sweetcheeks', sir." She mockingly said.

He laughed. "I like you. Sit with me." He gestured to the chair infront of him. "Get another spoon if you want to have some of the ice cream."

"I have to work si-- Gabriel." He stood up and began to search for something in the parlor. "What are you looking for?"

He exhaled as he sat down again and said, "Well, I couldn't find any customers so... you're free to enjoy my company. I'll be coming here often, so let's get to know each other."

Y/N was conflicted. One part of her concluded that he was a perv and she should stay away, but a bigger part of her knew he wasn't a bad guy, just a little more... enthusiastic than most. 'Oh well' she thought, 'I should give a chance. It does get boring around here.'

She sat down and they talked for hours. He was right, she did enjoy his company.

ALTERNATE ENDING

Their conversations became part of their daily routine.

At exactly 7 PM, Gabriel would walk through the store doors, greeting Y/N with a kiss on the cheek or a ballroom twirl to distract her from her job.

And Y/N would create a new dessert for Gabriel to try. He would often pretend to be an actual chef, commenting on the structure and taste of her creation, with her hitting him on the back of head when he gets too into it.

Their lives were full of bliss. Often begging the sun to go down faster in order for them to be with each other.

Until one night. Gabriel was late. Y/N was waiting at their usual table, eyes glancing at the door every few seconds. She tried to reason with herself, 'He probably just got side-tracked or something.' But she couldn't herself from worrying.

"Where are you Gabe? Are you alright?"

--With Gabriel --

"Where are you Gabe? Are you alright?"

Gabriel froze in the back of the Impala. He was just about to go and save Kali and those damn Winchesters from his brother, when he heard her voice, praying to him.

'Damnit!' He knew this was a suicide mission, but, no matter how much he hated them, the Winchesters are the only hope for this world. For her. Do it for her.

With his heart breaking and an apology for the woman who made him happy, he barged in the motel.

"Luci, I'm home!"

Games (Castiel)

Castiel sat in the day room of the Psych ward, merely observing other patients. He had only recently woken up from his coma after helping Sam, and yet, he felt good… happy even. He wasn’t even seeing Lucifer anymore.

“Would you like to play with me?”

A woman was suddenly standing in front of his table, holding up the board game, Settlers of Catan. She was smiling, but Castiel could sense how nervous she was.

“I would, but I do not know how to ‘play’ with this box.” He hesitantly agreed. “Please sit. My name is Castiel.”

The woman’s smile grew into a grin as she sat down. “Don’t worry. I can always teach ya!” She started to set up the game, excited grin still intact. “My name is Y/N. Nice to meet you, Castiel.”

He smiled.

“Wow! You’re pretty good at this game! It like you were some sort of leader or something.”

Castiel shrugged at her inference. “I lead a garrison of angels once. I even proclaimed myself the new God at one point, though that was a mistake.”

Y/N eyes grew wide with wonder. “You’re an angel?” Castiel nodded with a sly smile. “What are you doing here then?”

“My friend was seeing hallucinations of the Devil, so I healed him by tranferring his struggles to me.” He nonchalantly told her, as if it was a normal occurance. “I’m fine now. Better than ever actually.”

Y/N nodded, smiling warmly at him and took her turn in the game. “That’s good. You must be a great friend Castiel.”

The angel stared at her, only now realizing how calm she is, despite what he had told her. “Do you believe me?”

“Of course!”

“…why? I spoke of many unusual things, yet you are still talking to me.” Castiel tilted his head, confused at the woman’s actions.

She merely looked at him and chuckled, returning to the game where she was losing horribly to the soldier.

Castiel decided to change the topic, asking her about bees instead.

Castiel grew very fond of Y/N. They both exchanged stories over any board game they could find. She would tell him random facts about nature and he would tell her about the different biblical events that he had witnessed.

“What about this one?” Y/N turned to see Castiel holding up ‘Twister’. ”It seems fun.”

“Well, that’s not exactly a board game, but it is fun!” Y/N exclaimed, gently taking the box from Castiel and setting up the game. 

They continued to play said game, with Castiel falling over and over again, much to the amusement of Y/N. 

"I do not-- understand the point of this-- game." Castiel finally stuggled out after trying to stretch his arm to reach a yellow circle, but ended up pushing Y/N over, causing both of them to topple over. "But it is somewhat enjoyable."

Y/N giggled. "I'm going to miss you Castiel."

Castiel froze. "What do mean? Are you leaving?" He didn't want her to leave. He felt comfortable with her. As if, after everything that had happened, after everything that he had done, with her, everything was going to be okay. He finally felt safe.

"Yes. I have some business to attend to. Something came up." She said while folding the 'Twister' mat. "You'll be alright, Castiel. Your friends will be here in a few days."

"My friends?" Castiel furrowed his brows in confusion. "You mean Dean and Sam? How do you know about them?"

Y/N gave that secretive smile Castiel grew to admire yet hate at the same time. It made Castiel respect her but grow more and more frustrated with the things Y/N seems to know and he couldn't take it anymore.

"Who are you? Why do you care about me? Why do you come visit me every day? What makes me--" Castiel was cut off my Y/N suddenly hugging him. He slowly relaxed and held her in his arms. "Why do you care about someone like me?"

She let go and reached up to kiss him on his forehead causing Castiel to close his eyes. "I always take care of my family." Y/N whispered.

And with the sound of wings, she was gone.
