My head cannon of how Cloud got his name.

We are told in concept art of Cloud’s mother that she was named Claudia. I believe that Claudia intended Cloud’s name to be Claude - after herself. However, the doctor or whoever delivering the baby misheard her due to her accent and wrote Cloud on the birth certificate instead of Claude. Claudia ended up liking the name Cloud more and stuck with it. (‘:
