this is such an unpopular opinion but sometimes i feel like vernon is in some ways underrated? vernon’s talent is so underrated?? like def within the fandom all carats know he’s so passionate about rapping/music and the message he wants to spread, but he’s often so praised by his looks that it doesn’t even matter?? the media doesn’t give two shits about his empathetic lyrics or his struggles as a korean-american but all he gets is “oh you’re handsome” “wow your visuals” every single time and that’s great and all but this is the same person who got criticized for his mixed appearance as a child, how does that feel years later to be suddenly told its a good thing just because he’s good looking and not because his music talks about the struggles of accepting yourself and loving your differences??
