last year in my illustration class we had an assignment where we had to make some book illustrations, and i chose “the boy with the cuckoo-clock heart” by mathias malzieu, which is a story that was very formative for me as a teenager. i didn’t like this drawing very much at the time but now i think it’s cute :-)
