Dark Kalimba Kit
“Darkalimba kit” was made recording strange movements and hits over a bass kalimba thru a Neve 8801.
Don’t expect to find classic kalimba sounds… Those were made hitting the kalimba in strange and expressive ways.

Corsica_s Flopple Glitch
Tim is a an ambient and field recording lover. he usually records any interesting sound that he finds on his journey thru life… He also plays the Rhodes and he has some synths and sofwtare to work with. Tools with which he elaborates incredible drone sounds… Tim loves the magic found when working without saving any of the work other than the sound… That forces him to try new, or at least, subtly different things every time.
On the first post, I have chopped some off the sounds I found the first time i see his posts. The Flopple kit was made with an old drum machine played through a Nord Modular and some pitch shifting effects. It doesn’t sound like a drum machine at all. In Tim’s words: “I like to create strange patches, usually that feed back onto themselves in some way that makes them unstable and unpredictable so it is possible to generate a wide variety of sounds in that way.”

Sampling Brazil/Rhodes
We picked those samples from one of my favourite brazilian bands! In fact, I’m so in love with this band, and specially this song, that I hear them at least twice a week since 4 or 5 years ago…
We chopped the original record on the Akai MPC2500 and recorded some bars on. Then we passed the MPC audio out thru a Moog’s Voyager filter. Then thru a MoogerFooger mf104 Analog Delay. Chopped the result again on the MPC for you…

Jomox XBase09 Analog Drums
We’ve sampled some of our custom Jomox sounds saved on the memory for YOU!
We recorded the direct out to a Neve 8801 preamp. Gate and compression enabled (soft compression). Also, we touched the EQ, boosting at 80hz, and decreasing a lil bit in 3.5khz and 6.5khz.

Roger Subacuatic Spaced Sax
We recorded Roger with an AKG Solid Tube microphone and an Avalon 737 preamp. Slightly compressed with an Universal Audio 1176.
Then the signal was sent into a Moog’s Voyager internal filter (LP well filtered, Square LFO, Space knob turned quarter to the left…) and sent to a Roland RE-201 Space Echo. 50% of reverb and a touch of delay… Finally we put this trhu a Moogerfooger M.U.R.F. to make you feel like floating on space!!! Bay Leaf Percussion
The first percussion kit we bring was made with some bay leaves. These were found on a magic garden we use to walk around when we are tired of recording, cutting and cleaning samples….
The sound is like a shaker, but a litle more crispy!
The kit was recorded using a Brauner Valvet X microphone, passing thru a Neve 8801 Channel Strip, compression is noticeable.

Spaced Filtered Electric Piano
We recorded some Rhodes chords passing thru the Moog’s Voyager filter. We cut and play around 400-600hz and add a little bit of resonance. An slow LFO modulates the cutoff frecuency. We also performed some lil’ touches on the magic “spacing” knob to add more movement to the sound. The Moog’s line out was recorded and chopped directly on to the MPC. RAW SPACE CHORDS!
