Have you ever just looked at someone and thought, “I really love you”. They’re just talking or humming or watching a movie or reading a book or laughing or something, and there’s something about them in that moment—their body is alive, there’s a light in their eyes, something—that makes you think, “I just really love you.”
There are poems inside of you that paper can’t handle.

If I was famous I would follow a bunch of my fans on twitter and reply to their random tweets or send them a stupid selfie if they were having a bad day man I’d be the best celebrity ever people make me famous
Despite what you may believe, you can disappoint people and still be good enough. You can make mistakes and still be capable and talented. You can let people down and still be worthwhile and deserving of love. Everyone has disappointed someone they care about. Everyone messes up, lets people down, and makes mistakes. Not because we’re inadequate or fundamentally inept, but because we’re imperfect and fundamentally human. Expecting anything different is setting yourself up for failure.

People think a soul-mate is a perfect fit, and that’s what everyone wants. But a true soul-mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you back to your own attention so you can change your life. A soul-mate’s purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so that new light can enter, make you so desperate and out of control that you have to transform your life.

We are afraid to care too much, for fear that the other person does not care at all.

Notice the people who are happy for your happiness, and sad for your sadness. They’re the ones who deserve special places in your heart.

when my mother was pregnant with her second child, i was 4 i pointed at her swollen belly confused at how my mother had gotten so big in such little time my father scooped me in his tree trunk arms and said the closest thing to god on this earth is a woman’s body it’s where life comes from and to have a grown man tell me something so powerful at such a young age changed me to see that the entire universe rested at my mother’s feet

Always be kinder than you feel.

Let someone love you just the way you are – as flawed as you might be, as unattractive as you sometimes feel, and as unaccomplished as you think you are. To believe that you must hide all the parts of you that are broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window and illuminating a dark room.
Marc Hack (via jececilia)
I was by myself for a pretty long time. I needed to do that. I think everyone that I know has wanted to do that or needed to do that at some point. I think when you spend enough time when it’s quiet around you and you don’t open your mouth for three or four days, there’s parts of your brain that can kind of rest. I think when we’re out in the world and we have to talk to people, we edit ourselves. You know, we have to like, act a little bit. As honest as we may be as humans, when we’re out here, we’re all kind of wearing mirrors on our faces. You know, constantly reacting to how to react to the people around you. And I think when you’re alone for a long enough time, you can feel a lot more peace.

Talking about our problems is our greatest addiction. Break the habit. Talk about your joys.

I love you, that means I’m not just here for the pretty parts. I’m here no matter what.
