Speaking of research (hours and hours later), I fell down a google wormhole that produced this gem.
friendly reminder that there’s an even bigger legal nerd than me out there somewhere.
ivy watches orange is the new black season 2 / episode 8
I’ve just realized that an hour has gone by.

so not related, but also totally related to the blog: we got onto the topic of marital assets in my Marriage and Family class, and it blew up into this debate over whether or not illegally obtained money (i.e you robbed a bank) that’s documented after the statute of limitations can be divided in a divorce, and that shit is my lifeblood.
But, yes, unless your bank robber/mercenary/etc. spouse has the foresight to get a prenup, you’re golden.
Just a head’s up:
This week is going to primarily be me getting all my eggs in a row in case I don’t wind up getting dismissed from jury duty, so replies may be few and far between. I’m going to start getting some down and then queuing them throughout the week.
Okay, but can we talk about the fact that Lilah was trying to bargain with the beast, while it was impaling her?
Is Lilah the only Whedon character that doesn’t have a horrible relationship with her father?
lemme correct that: *ats/btvs character.
That’s a commonly misused term. People think we’re an “evil law firm” when it’s just that “evil law” is a subspecialty we happen to be very good at.
Buffy 10 #27: Own It, part two: The Centre Cannot Hold (2016)
I don’t know if it’s just harder to convey Lilah’s level of enthusiastic sarcasm (like a verbal song, and a dance, and a “go fuck yourself!”) on paper, or it’s the whole “I’ve been dead for a few years now and I’m still here; please let me go back to hell” thing she’s got going on in the comics, but she’s a lot less peppy.
Can you see the “fuck you” in my smile?
