not to be that annoying bragger… but just under a year ago I met grace in boston and i told her about how she helped me to follow my fear and join a program in school that would force me out of my comfort zone with public speaking and all that. not gonna lie, the first half of the year in this program has probably been the hardest hing ive ever done. after ending up 2 months behind everyone else after my parter quit on me, catching up was DIFFICULT. however, on thursday i had my first competition. my project, which ive put hours and hours and hours of blood, sweat, and tears into, won first place in my district. theres seriously NOTHING more satisfying than putting tons of hard work into something you’re passionate about and having it pay off. I couldn’t have done it without you grace. thank you xx. -charlotte

hey grace, 

you probably don’t remember me, but when I met you, i thanked you for telling me to “follow my fear” and for inspiring me to take a class in my junior year of high school where i will learn about how to be a leader, how to do LOTS of public speaking, and basically how to be a successful business woman. you told me that this class would be extremely terrifying, but rewarding.   now, just a month into the year, I can already tell that taking this class has been the best decision i have ever made for myself. i mean, I'm not gonna lie, these first few weeks have been kicking my ass. I won't pretend the multiple emotional breakdowns at 3am haven't happened, but those things are just proof that this class is going to be good for me. My partner’s and my business project is well underway and our teacher is sure we are going to do a “dynamite job.” The reason Im taking all this time to type this out is to just update you i guess and thank you again. Without your advice and inspiration, i probably never would have signed up for this program that I’ve wanted to do deep down since I was 7 years old, and I mean that knowing myself.. I’m absolutely TERRIFIED to start competing with our project in january-april, but every time it gets difficult i just remind myself of the conversation i had with you and the motivation you gave me. wish me luck for the rest of this year, and lets hope i get to go to internationals next year in anaheim😅 thank you. thank you. i will never stop thanking you.
