The Bunny Ritual
Planned Parenthood is fucking amazing, y’all. I haven’t been there yet…but just talking to their HRT line on the phone…
They used my respected name right off the bat. Called me Riley all the way through. Used he/him pronouns. Didn’t slip up once. Asked me and “What’s your legal name? I’m sorry I have to ask that.”
Then asked me “Now is it okay if I send things with Riley Roswell to your home?” not wanting to out me accidentally and then “Is it okay if I send stuff with planned parenthood labels on them or do you want me to be discreet about it?” knowing there are people who could get in trouble with family or partners or others for going there.
OH MY GOD I’M GOING TO CRY AND THEY DIDN’T JUDGE ME AT ALL
THEY WERE TOTALLY ACCEPTING AND ANSWERED ALL MY STUPID FUCKING BASIC QUESTIONS ABOUT HRT ABOUT WHAT THE APPT WAS GONNA BE LIKE
AND SHE WAS SO KIND AND SO UNDERSTANDING
AND SHE RESPECTED ME SO MUCH AND I WAS SO HAPPY
I CAN’T BELIEVE PEOPLE LIKE THAT EXIST IN OUR WORLD.
OH MY GOD.
AND I’M GOING TO BE GOING TO THIS WONDERFUL PLACE ON THE 29TH!!!!!!!!
This is so good! This makes us so happy! Here are Planned Parenthoods that offer HRT!
Reblog for those who need it. Thank you Planned Parenthood!
Using Tapping to Ease Anxiety
Tapping is an Emotional Freedom Technique that uses acupressure to help alleviate anxiety and stress. EFT gurus also suggest repeating particular mantras while tapping, or tapping particular areas to target specific worries, but just the tapping alone can help to calm you down, especially if you are sensitive to touch. Follow along and see if it works for you 💖
We’re holding a CONTEST! Just REBLOG to enter! We’re giving away two pins from the 10 designs above. This is done to promote our Kickstarter, with ten more pin designs not in the current contest! You can check out the Kickstarter here! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/641573961/dandd-chibi-monster-pins If you want to choose your designs, please REPLY to this with the two you like best and @ a friend who likes D&D! If you don’t reply, that’s okay - we’ll choose two of the designs at random.
Small Devotional Acts
Hel
Norse giantess/goddess of the underworld, daughter of Loki and Angrboda.
⇁ Embrace your differences, Hel was born with an appearance described as half black / half white, half alive / half dead, with many other descriptions available.
⇁ Go a day without make-up, if you typically wear
⇁ Honor the dead you know, and reach out to them if you have a proper channel to do so.
⇁ Volunteer time to those close to death (for lack of better words), or those who have led long lives. Get to know them, hear their stories, take this as a way to grow
⇁ Give love to your local pups; whether it be through a shelter, your own, or an acquaintances’, as Garm is the hound that guards her gates and Fenrir is her brother.
⇁ Leave offerings out for Garm.
⇁ Hel’s other brother is Jormungandr, the Midgard Serpent, so spending time with snakes is also an option.
⇁ If you have a fear of snakes, or dogs even, you can spend time researching opposed to in person interactions. Which snakes are native to your area? Which dogs are most common? Even taking a Buzzfeed quiz that tells you which dog you’d fit with based on your noodle preferences works here.
⇁ Try your best to avoid judging people and the things around you. One of Hel’s duties is to judge people after death, decide where they will spend the rest of their time. Avoid doing that here, honor her by letting her make those decisions.
⇁ Embrace the night, it’s a common belief that this is when the dead comes out for us.
⇁ Do something that scares or overwhelms you.
⇁ Try something new / experience the unknown.
⇁ Clean your sheets and blankets, even those in the living room / study / etc. Hel’s bed is called sick bed, so washing yours can be an act of preventing the likewise.
⇁ Serve a meal for family, friends, neighbors, people you’d just met - or donate to a local food bank in her honor. “Her dish is hunger, her knife is famine.” I’ve heard multiple variants of the above quote, the general base is that things involved in her dining are related to others such as hunger, starvation, and famine.
⇁ Visit a local cemetery, pull weeds that cloud headstones and leave flowers for those you know.
⇁ If you have a gate, whether it be garden etc, leave it open, as Hel’s gate is commonly brought up.
⇁ Light a candle, potentially black or darker in color and scents that remind you of her. I associate her with heavier, earthy scents.
Feel free to add your own! This post is subject to updates, but anything added from another source will get it’s due credit. You can request an additional Norse deity / figure here.

IVE SEARCHED SO LONG FOR THIS
These are so fun to fill out!
Extremely useful for getting to know your character. Not sure how often you would reference such a long list, but the process of filling it out will really help your story and personality develop.
Upon anon request- rolling tables for meals and rations! They’re a bit simple, given how quickly they were made, but they can throw together a quick meal. Finally, my research of medieval and renaissance food comes in handy.
For future reference.
Cat doesn’t know what to do with the butterfly that flew on its paw.
Why is it a dang cat can hold steadier than I?
so if generic wizards use wands and staffs to cast spells I’m gonna bring up the idea of modern era magicians using what they can find with a wooden body, like teens picking up baseball bats and 2x4s imagine just running out of mana or whatever and instead of slinking back you just crack your rune laden bat over a particularly punkish goblin
yall mind if i
Glob I love this!
I might steal this idea for a pc at somepoint
The Bonk-Stick
For context we were fighting the BBEG at the end of our campaign and everyone but the druid was down, and the druid was close to 0 as well.
Druid: “I pull out my magical staff and bonk [Monk], he wakes up with one hp and I pass him the staff, staff has 4 bonks left.”
Monk: “I wake up and bonk [Fighter] and pass her the bonk-stick”
Everyone including Dm breaks down in tears laughing.
Me, Fighter: “I wake up and sure as shit bonk [NPC General] 2 bonks left!”
Druid: “And on the day the legacy of the Bonk-Stick was born.”
OC development questions
So these are translated (with some liberties) from a german pen&paper core rulebook. They’re supposed to get you to think about your OC and to get to know them better.
Next up you’ll find 20 Question to help you figure out your OC, their personality, their History and their inner workings.
Long post ahead. Questions under the cut. Hit me up with a question and an OC of mine if you wanna have some answers :>

OC fact swap.
Send me a fact about your OC and I’ll answer with a relevant fact about mine. I want to learn about your OCs.
Whimsy wears a black, metal, rabbit mask askew on her head that she pulls down when in combat, performing, or otherwise overly emotional.
Dungeon Master Essentials
I decided to make a list of DM stuff that I personally use or think are important to know when it comes to being a DM. So here’s my list:
Medieval Fantasy City Generator: This generator is now my LIFE. It generates incredibly complex cities with good customization. (Thanks to plantkat for sharing this site in their post here)
Naming Your Towns/Cities: Now that you’ve made your city, time to name it and give it some character! This post contains lots of great information.
Index Cards Rule: Fuckyeahdnd shared a SUPER convenient way of keeping track of turns and HP in combat. I use this system now for every single session I run.
Tricks & Traps: I am AWFUL at coming up with good Dungeon traps and challenges, this PDF includes some incredible ideas. The original poster, Courtney C. Campbell also runs a blog where she shares tons of great stuff. (Thanks to we-are-rogue for sharing the PDF in their post here)
Playing Different Types of Characters: Writeinspiration has a masterpost on how to write/play lots of different types of characters.
Unique NPC Jobs: Lauraharrisbooks wrote a list of different Fantasy Jobs which can help populate your world with some unique characters! Another similar post by Thewritershandbook also covers Common Occupations in the Middle Ages.
Developing Characters by Threes: Monticusrex’s method of creating characters help you really flesh out who they are. Useful for Players and DM’s.
Troublesome Players? Speak Up: Dicebound brings up an incredibly great point. If someone is being a jerk, speak up and call them out. This is especially important and relevant now to crush awful behavior before it even has a chance to show it’s ugly face.
List of D&D Resources: And finally, pretty much anything you might need for D&D. (Character stuff, spells, online communities/ways to play, etc..) A lot of people contributed to this post but thank you Mushroomancy for posting the original list.
Donjon: And finally, this site is a great resource for looking up Spells and Monsters along with tons of other generators. Not every single Spell or Monster is on here, but most are listed.
(I tried to give credit to the original posters or the actual URL for websites, unless those sites or URLs were no longer active)
Incredible list!
@tiedinaslipknot
the phrase “curiosity killed the cat” is actually not the full phrase it actually is “curiosity killed the cat but satisfaction brought it back” so don’t let anyone tell you not to be a curious little baby okay go and be interested in the world uwu

Blood is thicker than water The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.
Meaning that relationships formed by choice are stronger than those formed by birth.
Let’s not forget that “Jack of all trades, master of none” ends with “But better than a master of one.”
It means that being equally good/average at everything is much better than being perfect at one thing and sucking at everything else. So don’t worry if you’re not perfect at something you do! Being okay is better!
These made me feel better
Also, “great minds think alike” ends with “but fools rarely differ”
It goes to show that conformity isn’t always a good thing. And that just because more than one person has the same idea, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a good idea.
what the fuck why haven’t i heard the full version to any of these
“Birds of a feather flock together” ends with “until the cat comes.”
It’s actually a warning about fair-weather friends, not an assessment of how complementary people are.
I’ve always felt like these were cut down on purpose.
I really like these phrases and plan on spreading this knowledge.
The early bird catches the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
I want to make designs out of these.
Funny how all the half-finished ones encourage uniformity and upholding the status-quo, while the complete proverbs encourage like…living exciting, eclectic lives driven by choice and personal passion.
