Tiktok SEEMS like it fills the same ecological niche as Tumblr circa 2014, but everything that happens on tiktok is the result of some multitrillion dollar conglomerate setting a Rube Goldberg machine I'm motion that makes people act insane , and this leads to an increase in profits for someone somehow. Tumblr was just good old fashioned mass hysteria.

ya'll ever have a "friend" who you've been friends with for years but the longer you know them the more you realize what a terrible person they are? like, the only thing keeping me around is habit. pure habit. i have a hard time emotionally investing in them because they have never shown any emotional availability to me. they have tried to 'give it a go' and be emotionally supportive but it just sounds fake. it sounds forced. i dont enjoy their company and i can tell they dont enjoy mine. my partner and my roommate and i consistently talk behind their back, and ive caught them talking behind mine. i dont even know what we're doing anymore

its done. it all came to a head when she tried to come to me for the exact emotional support she had denied me so many times. i gave her the exact advice she had given me.

it blew up. she, of course was hard up on remaining the victim, and abandoned the conversation. I then decided to tell her I couldn't keep doing this. i told her how i really felt and said i wanted to separate myself from her.

her response was to kick me from her streaming accounts she shared with me and blocking on every platform and block me on every social media, including my phone number. with how narcissistic and emotionally inept she always has been, this did not surprise me.

i am processing it however i can. mostly word vomit anonymously on the internet.
