Leela examined her friend’s expression and words, then sighed along with her “I do know that feeling. It sounds like when I was back at home with my 4 sisters, and no matter what I did, my decisions were being always questioned by my mother” she looked up to the sky for a moment, contemplating it, then added “Don’t apologize. It’s not like you can think clearly when you’re exhausted.” she wanted to say something else, but as usual, she kept it to herself and turned to her friend. “Is everything okay at work?”
This state she was in wasn’t something that happened often. In fact, it was such a rarity that even Erin couldn’t understand what was going on in her mind. She was experiencing doubt. How strange for someone who usually so casually oozes confidence. She sighs but takes in some comfort that her friend understands. “Yeah, exactly. It’s like… I’m doing so much but receiving so little.” She purses her lips then shrugs. “Work is just… testing me right now. I knew from day one what I was getting into, but I didn’t think it’d be… so mentally and physically exhausting.”
