We (Sally and Lottie) run this here fan site for the wonderful Solemn Sun. We'd love people to get involved, so if you'd like to, feel free to submit a story, a photo, favourite song, or video. Anything. Get Involved, because we'd love to hear from you! Nothing here is affiliated with the band, their label or management. This is run by fans, for fans.

If you were lucky enough to catch Woahnows opening in the Axiom on Friday at 2000 Trees, you may have noticed that Phil (formerly of Solemn Sun) has joined their line-up. We ran into him later and had a bit of a chat, and it turns out he’s now joined Woahnows full time! 

While we’re sad to see him leave Solemn Sun, we’re glad he’s happy playing with another band we know and love, and wish him all the best for the future. As such, you’ll see a few Woahnows posts cropping up every now and again.

News for anyone heading to the mighty 2000 Trees Festival!

Get yourselves over to Camp Turner on the Thursday evening to catch Jim busking! Jim has also asked for requests, so drop him a tweet if you want to hear your favourite!

Both myself (Sally) and Lottie will be there. Do not miss out on this, I’m sure it’s going to be spectacular!

We all know that Solemn Sun were one of the first bands to be announced for this year’s Two Thousand Trees Festival. BUT LOOK AT HOW MANY AMAZING BANDS HAVE BEEN ADDED SINCE.

Then there’s the mighty Alkaline Trio as Saturday headliners.

Make sure you get yourselves a ticket because this is going to sell out.

RE: Arcane Roots tour

Solemn Sun have announced that they are pulling out of the upcoming tour with Arcane Roots.

From Twitter: “Due to unforeseen circumstances we’ve had to pull out of the tour with .@ArcaneRoots. Deepest apologies to the band and all coming to see us. Ticket holders - we strongly urge you to still go to what will be an amazing show. We hope to see you all at a show soon and to cross paths with Arcane Roots again in the future. §”

I’m sure Solemn Sun will be out on the road again soon. Keep your eyes open for tour news here, and as always our upcoming gigs page is kept as up to date as we can (Sally will get round to removing the AR tour eventually!), and there is always festival season soon which I’m sure the boys will pop up at various places.
