There is loss.

Then there is loss of a child.

They are not the same.

Grief is such a hard emotion to put into words. It’s as though someone sucked out all your blood & joy and replaced it with gasoline & sadness. Then you swallowed a match and you are burning alive from the inside. No one else can see it but it’s there, 24/7, constant non-stop pain that doesn’t go away and just keeps burning as though it’s slowly torturing you each day. You can’t find real happiness in anything you do because the constant pain is always present. If you’re lucky you may be able to distract from it for a few seconds at a time every once in a great while, but you know it’s still there and you can especially feel it in the quiet hours of the early morning or late at night when you’re lying there alone and all you have to think about is how bad it hurts and how there is literally nothing to put out that kind of all consuming fire inside. I’m pretty sure this is what hell feels like.
