I don’t know how to keep to myself.
My heart is a paper bag. The bottom’s finally torn from holding myself in.
I don’t know how to see life without you—your ghost. Your imprint on everything.
I know this will pass. But how? When? Is it right? Without your answer?
A car crash in slow motion. Fumes and petrol. Flames twice as bright.
I want to love you but I can’t feel me like I do you.
Maybe I’m a ghost myself.
A flailing limb severed from its host. Without lifeblood. Wasted skin and bone.
