redrew this Tree from like a year ago
a world about to dawn!!!!!!
it's always been there
sorry camille sorry hérault the moon took over this is a moon blog now
(i will probably be posting at least one more Moon Drawing. Moon.) but anyway this one's based off the anecdote in hugo's promontorium somnii in which françois arago explains to him that yes, the telescope is working correctly, you are looking at the moon, anyway it's beautifully written
+ i recently watched the 1962 munchausen film with a friend in which Hand Telescope makes its appearance, fun stuff if you're in a moon mood (it is also very moon)
some thoughts on how i typically draw marianne's physical age vs how she's usually depicted (reference under cut)
sure in the mood to march on versailles these days
your art is a huge inspiration to me😭❤ Personally your use of depth and form and composition and themes and aaaaaaa it all got me so hooked and made me think how long have you studied art overall. also can I ask what software do you use?!✨ ❤
aahhh thank you this is really cool coming from you!!!
as for art i've been at it since i was a wee lad but i think i started actively studying around 2023 (?), around the same time i became interested in theatre, comics and classical lit… after that it was just a countdown until i found SO MANY inspiring artists in the frev neighborhood
& i use medibang on my laptop—it's free & basic but i've been abusing the default wet watercolor brush forever since haha
hilariously or poetically or something it took me 3 extra days to finish this due to my own jaw complications
fouché and talleyrand toasting to the monarchy with lightning and apocalyptic wind 10/10 ending hilarious
on a related note, I've been reading about the propagandists of the deed lately....
a horse of children and parents for the end of les mis letters 25 !
(from red to purple: the shepherd, the conventionnel G, fantine, jean valjean, cosette, éponine, montparnasse, azelma, gavroche, the mômes, a child in costume for mardi gras)
something a bit more classic due to Recent Events in my personal encounters with people with a certain understanding (or lack thereof) of the frev ;)
got tired of using words to justify the executions of the indulgents so i made a drawing instead
