Listening to what he said about Alaska it was kind of a weird conversation as she was taken back from it but she also set herself up for it when she said he could ask her something. “Well… It wouldn’t be something that makes you feel good or bad about it. If you really like her, her being a virgin shouldn’t matter, it’s what’s on the inside that matters. She doesn’t have anything to compare to and honestly Hendrix you’re not a disappointment in bed.”

“I am always gonna need you, and no that’s not me tryna flirt with you. It’s me saying it honestly and truly. But what does matter is that she’s very special to me, I would be terrified of messing up... Me trying to ask her to be my girlfriend is terrifying enough. Agreed. It’s so relaxing to listen to the waves, even not being on the beach we could still hear them. As long as we didn’t get hurt I think that’s okay. Could’ve certainly been more embarrassing. I feel like it’s some fucking stupid teasing thing that we can hear and see them but not touch them. It’s like seeing the thing you really want in a store but not being able to buy it, I got a few bruises from it I can admit that but I like to call them some type of battle scars so it sounds cooler. They just wanted some entertainment to spark up their day, which makes sense if you’re working long hours in the hot sun on a cruise ship. Looks like I will fully have to teach you how to surf, I wouldn’t brag but I am a surfing expert. Sounds sweet as, I will meet you at the door!

Exactly! I mean I would always drive to the beach but there is something so beautiful about just walking down to it instead of wasting gas. It just kills the mood of wanting to get in the beach vibe. I did too ok, it was one of the stupidest things I have ever done because I fell like five times. I feel like they rigged it and just wanted to see a bunch of people fall, I have been surfing a bunch of times and that was the hardest thing I have ever done. Yeah I should be free for an adventure, good excuse to get out of the house?

It was nice to finally feel normal with Hendrix because he was an important person to her and in her life. Even to this day she supported him and his hockey team and would wear his number it didn’t matter that they weren’t dating he was her friend and even her other best friends twin brother so she would support the two of them endlessly. “I guess I never can, I’ll just have to learn to accept it in life.” She laughed as she swayed from the nudge. “Why not do both. A mix of shaking it out and protecting it. Yeah what is it?”

“You thought it was cute? You were the first person who has ever said that to me honestly so I really do appreciate that Pops” Hendrix said with a soft smile pushing at his lips. There was never going to be a day where he didn’t admire Poppy or want her out of his life, she had become a massive part in his life that he could never erase. He would always think back to their times of cheering each other on in their successes and smile about it. Dating or not, he would always cheer her on and support her no matter what came. “You will always have the Hendrix attachment you can’t shake, it’s almost like a beautiful disease” he teased with a laugh fall from her lips. “If I shook her I would probably break her, which is what I am always scared of. So... Uh-Alaska is a virgin... And I don’t know how to feel about it, like I feel if it went there she would be disappointed I was the one who... Took that from her you know?”

On a reality TV show, Alaska had no idea how she managed to stay away from drama. Maybe it was because she just wanted to have everyone happy even if it meant putting her happiness aside but here with Hendrix his happiness was her it felt and it was something that she felt so lucky to finally find as it made her heard flutter. “Many things?! A cake would be enough for me.” She told him simply, “Cake tasting would be amazing and I won’t tell a soul because I’ll gush just as much if not more.” She softly laughed as she laid her head back so she could just look at him. “My holiday was amazing but.. it would of been better if I was with you because I missed you ever second.” She told him as she had a permanent smile on her face as her eyes looked to their hands in pure happiness.

Hendrix just wanted a clean break from all the drama, to have an easy and breezy season two. Which is why he wanted to start it off right with Alaska. He was happy around her and felt like she was good for him, he almost needed her not just to make him happy but because he knew he could make her happy. “No way, it’ll be your birthday and I am set on making it special” he said with a chuckle falling from his lips. “I will put it on the calendar as another date for us” he said with a smile pushing at his lips as he gave her hand a soft squeeze. Hearing that she missed him made the smile push more almost a goofy and happy one. “I am an idiot for not inviting you to Jersey but I would’ve hated for you to be in the full cold” he admitted winking at her as they arrived at the Hollywood sign. He could’ve made them both walk but he wanted to do this right, and getting her to work would’ve probably just killed the mood. Quickly running over to open her door for her.

She had missed this with Hendrix and wanted her relationship, or more friendship back with him. “You know it. My heart is just so broken I don’t know how I’ll ever move on from you. I mean I dream of us every night… How could you.” She laughed almost crying at this point. He was important and special but she was happy for him to find a special person. “Right? For once he actually found comfort around being around Poppy rather than the small hint of drama of things behind their back. “Let’s face it, I am one of the hardest people to get out of your mind, I don’t know how you could ever shake me” he teased with a laugh falling from his lips giving her a playful nudge. Maybe in another life it could’ve worked out the way they would’ve originally liked, but he had finally found happiness and only wanted her to find the same. “God I know, part of me wants to shake the sweetness out of her but the other part of me actually wants to protect her-speaking of... I gotta ask you about something.”

There were moments that Alaska forgot it was a reality TV show because she didn’t involve herself in so much drama but hearing and watching the show when it aired she felt her heart ache for people, but what she enjoyed was her time with Hendrix as it made her heart feel warm and fuzzy. “Yes please!” She gushed about wanting it for her birthday with a giggle added on. “I can agree to having half and half and maybe stealing a bite of yours…” She teased knowing she would want to grab some icing and put it on his nose from his half of the cake and protect her own. She thanked him when she got into the car when he opened the door for him, finding it adorable that he was still one of those men that did classic romantic gestures for people.

Hendrix didn’t really like the swing of reality TV, how it basically spent the entire time provoking drama. He had, had his fair share last season and was trying to drive away from the drama this season. Alaska seemed to be the one person he had met who didn’t bring any drama to his life, it was actually one of the things his inner self wanted to protect her from... Which was cheesy as fuck yes. “I will put it down on my list of many things to do with your birthday” he said with a chuckle falling from his lips. “Maybe we can even plan to go cake testing at one point, just don’t tell anyone how I fanboy when I eat it” he teased with a smile pushing at his lips. He rarely acted the sweet and goofy guy around many people, only his brother and Alaska were the ones to actually see this side of him. Reaching over his free hand to take her hand in his he glanced over at her as he started to drive to the sign. “How was your holiday?-Or more the question being how much did you miss me?” He asked rubbing her hand with his thumb.

Driving to the beach takes effort and then you have to drive back. Which means you can’t drink as much while you’re on the beach. Definitely not the same. But having the pool does make things a little bit better, though I’m with you on the ocean. And now I want to go rock surfing, despite the fact that I may end up with a broken bone or two. I saw a trail around the back, I assume it would be good for hiking. But I haven’t tried it out yet.

Actually though! Like driving to the beach takes so much effort, and by the time you get there especially from the hills it’s just annoying. Pools aren’t the same though, you can’t exactly go surfing in the pool unless they install one of those like... Wave rider thingies. I will happily take you and make sure you don’t have any broken bones, my brother and I did it way too much as kids and there were no broken bones in sight. Plus could be a fun way to prove being up in the hills isn’t the worst thing.
