thanks so much for all the kind words everyone!!! i do want to be very clear that i was not the main graphic designer on the film, i simply provided some additional graphics, but i'm proud of the work i did and i'm happy everyone seems to really be vibing with it!!! my main job was as the art department assistant, and i worked with a fantastic team. they were amazing enough to give me the opportunity to put my skills to the test, i'm so grateful!!

i'm FINALLY gonna start posting the backlog of art i've made since the last time i posted (5 years ago, man what the hell). i'll set it up in a queue so it's not so much. some may be reposts from my main blog - so if you see a duplicate out there, it's probably just. also me, lol.

the bulk of my job as an additional graphic designer on Renfield (2023) entailed creating a million flyers/posters/decorations/book covers for the bulletin boards & books in the gym where renfield's support group meets. most of them you will never get to see clearly, because they're doing their job - to set the scene, not steal your attention. that doesn't mean we didn't have fun with it, though! these are some of my favorites. i love making things that are "authentically shitty". our production designer wanted me to throw in the Heathers & Donnie Darko (which he worked on) references, so blame him for their inclusion!!

...the dabbing skeleton poster says Saturday March 7, so that means Renfield takes place in 2015, 2020, or 2026 you're welcome (or maybe earlier, maybe later, idk. what kinds of phones do people have in this movie?)

...nope, never mind. the last poster says Saturday March 11, which would mean 2017--oh! this year, 2023!--or 2028. i had considered the concept that maybe the March 7 flyer was an OLD one that happened to stay posted a while 'cause i've seen that happen before, so yeah let's go with that lol

so yeah it looks like no new or surprising information here; Renfield most likely takes place in 2023

keen eye!! renfield is indeed set around winter/spring of 2023 -- aka roughly around when the film was slated to release. as far as how accurate the exact dates i put in here go... to be completely honest, i had to churn out like at least 50 fliers in 5 days. when it came to date accuracy, i just could not be bothered for something no one would be able to read anyways! 😂😂

a small selection of the additional graphics i got to create for Renfield (2023)! it was such a frickin' blast and i worked with an amazing team of incredibly talented folks. the bulletin board layouts got shuffled around a bit on set but i'm still happy with how they turned out. in my next post, i'll share some of the smaller easter egg-y graphics i made that you likely didn't get to see up close (:

wow, it has been quite a while! i've definitely been drawing since the last time i posted (5 years ago...!) but i'm sorry that i haven't uploaded any of it! i will certainly get around to it soon. but i'm gonna start off with my most recent work, as i'm very excited about it!!

anyways i feel like giving some facts on this character! her name is charlotte but everyone just calls her C. i feel like she gives off some “IM TOUGH!!” vibes here but she really isn’t - she’s a total softie and literally can’t undo her seatbelt sometimes. she loves punk music & aesthetics - she’s thinking about dying her hair pink sometime soon. she used to be really self-conscious about her gap teeth but has since come to own it & love it. she’s an nb trans woman. her mom is from florida and her dad is from the dominican republic. idk what else to say rn hahaha
