What have you learned about how solitaire works?

FIRST RULE OF SOLITAIRE: aces are useless. put them on the top right. SECOND RUE OF SOLITAIRE: two's are about as useless as aces. discard them to the ace pile as soon as possible THIRD RULE OF SOLITAIRE: it's hard. FOURTH RULE OF SOLITAIRE: it's really hard; FIFTH RUlE OF SOLITAIRE: you need to make the cards count down. But watch out. You must Alternate The Colours FOURTH RULE OF SOLITAIRE: make if you already have a red king and only have one more spot to add a king do not add another red king. You will lose. SIXTH RULE OF SOLITAIRE: make sure to do every possible move with cards already on the board before adding cards from your draw pile. You WILL screw yourself over SEVENTH RULE OF SOLITAIRE: good luck. Don't forget to beyourself and have fun

update on the whole "switch game" thing: it's basically just the flash games. but they fucked up real good this time. there seems to be no limit to how much NP you can make in a single playthrough? and no limit to how many times you can send your score each day. and given how TNT usually operates I expect this bug will go unpatched for the rest of the weekend.

From a less-technical standpoint, I hear that it spells various NPC names incorrectly, spells the names of locations incorrectly, has a botched the map of Neopia, calls each location an "island", ignores or gets various parts of lore incorrect, has a decent amount of typos and grammar/spelling errors, and calls Neopia Central just... Central. I'm not playing it myself, so I can't speak to any of this, but. It's really funny, given how "strict" they are about the lore in other places. Neopets is a nightmare, but god, I love Neopets.

this game is fucked. this is what the final game looks like, which you need to beat to unlock arcade mode, which is. y’know. most of the reason anyone would play this thing.

looks easy enough, right? just a guitar hero clone, nothing too crazy. you just have to press the buttons when they overlap with the circles!

the circles, which the eagle-eyed among you may have spotted, don’t exist.

yes, this mini-game is literally unplayable, unlike several of the other mini-games on this thing which are merely figuratively unplayable.

and that’s not even going into how the crowd in the background isn’t even mostly made of neopets. how did The Neopets Team run out of The Neopets for this???

So what do we think about the Geekify email announcing the death of the Neopets ttrpg

I'm genuinely surprised that Neopia gave sufficient fucks to pull the plug. There are a lot of officially licensed tabletop RPGs that make an absolute shitshow of the properties they're ostensibly based on and make it to print without a peep of protest from the licensor, some of them involving franchises with much bigger bottom lines than this one, and fucking Neopets is the one that does their due diligence? Really? Really?
