i love looove their date together in the rainbow room. their romantic date has something dark and sinister about it, though it's not made obvious to alex. with madelyne's dress changing almost every panel and her looking a little menacing when alex isn't particurally looking.. there is no doubt in the readers mind that she definitely has been corrupted by the demons of limbo! the scientists being eaten by the demonic elevator and alex being absolutely clueless is the cherry on top.

Madelyne’s dress from Uncanny X-Men vol 1 #240. I really love how the dress keep changing shape slightly throughout the issue without anyone seeming to notice. She’s also wearing the Goblin Queen costume for a few panelsand then switches back to the dress, also without anyone noticing.

Sb asked me on my Twitter to post my drawing process! I usually use photoshop for drawing, and I only use CSP sometimes, so I’m posting my Maddie speedpaint here for them!

Most of my art has the same process anyways, sometimes I greyscale and then turn it into a very low opacity gradient map, and then layer it on top of my rough colors, and do more colors on top of that map

I’m not a professional illustrator so my process is not very disciplined, there’s a lot of experimentation with colors and rendering
