How would you write Kitty being confirmed as gay after Duggan (or before if you would set it before the events of that issue)?

Hmmmm good question I think the xuân stuff would be the most interesting and important thing for her to deal with (especially with the infinity comic where xuan is kinda not over it) having them talk would be a really good way for her to come to terms with her relationships with women in the past especially how it’s sorta a one step forward three steps back kinda thing that’s hurt some people (see mekanix to astonishing switch up). Have that conversation to act as a catalyst for her dating around for a bit and then maybe deal with unresolved Ray related stuff (some jealously over Betsy 👀)

I do think the one good thing about the Nina situation was that it blew up over kitty’s avoidance/commitment issues. Ewing did an amazing job at keeping the most important quality of kitty in relationships and I want that to remain true in her relationships regardless of sexuality going forward.

I’m not a massive fan of her initial coming out scene it just feels kinda random and I would’ve liked to see more buildup. If I could turn back time I would’ve had her come out after xtreme bc mekanix is about kitty being in the closet subtextually.
