this is the blog i’ll be moving to in november. if you didn’t see my previous post about it, i put together a page with potential triggers & kinks that might make you not want to follow me, which can be found here. i’m doing it this way so if you don’t want to, you don’t have to. otherwise, i’ll follow you back.

Cooper.
𝐂𝐎𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐑 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓 about that too, recalling all the information the Brands had gathered when the wormhole had appeared. Joseph guessed it was because humans had not touched the land yet. Had not filled it with waste and smoke. But he kept those thoughts to himself, shrugging. Following Gaea, curious to know what she planned to do with the plant, Cooper laughed. “My smoke signals and morse code weren’t good enough?” To be truthful, he’d done nothing of the sort, not having supplies. But he was always sure to leave a note and time estimate of when he’d return home. “Trust me, I try to come back in one piece every time.” If he were to die before they established a proper colony, before they activated the gene bomb, things might not go according to plan. Though this whole mission here had been one mistake after another. “Besides,” Cooper continued. “How could I not come home every night to someone as beautiful as you?”
The look she gives him is fondly exasperated, her distraught about finding him funny clear on his face. She can joke now that she knows he’s fine but Gaea certainly hadn’t been in a joking mood before. Now she’s in work mode, turning the branch this & that way as though she’ll be able to see into the smallest details of it with her bare eyes. ❝ I know you do, ❞ she murmurs, distracted but not so much as to not blindly reach for his hand, fingers fluttering before she finally makes contact & squeezes. But then he calls her beautiful & she trips, squeaking in surprise & fluster before picking up her pace. Her lab is nearly as green as her room. A requirement, considering her profession & the work she does. Its pride is the large, cylinder & glass container in the middle spanning from the floor to the ceiling. Every botanical genome grafted together, interlocked into a spiral of growth & vegetation. Her greatest work. If she has things her way, every plant she’d put into it would one day be planted on this planet as well. ❝ You’re dangerous, Joseph Cooper. ❞

Punchline.
“‘I’m willing to die for any of them’,” Punchline repeats Gaea, all mockery with no nobility. “Okay, then. Die for the expired cum-dumpster. Give me one reason why I shouldn’t make my fame and fortune off of whatever I’m going to do to you next.” A wide grin; at least she can gain something from this. She lifts her foot to put it on the chair between Gaea’s legs, leans over it with her elbow. “Guess which bitch just got outfitted with kit for recording braindances?” Tap tap goes her finger on her temple, the elaborate lines and scars of her cyberware all-too visible. “Yeah.” She’d make a killing off this XBD.
Flinching at the title the doll had been bestowed, Gaea purses her lips in distaste. It’s not as though she hasn’t heard worse ( or had such directed at her ). But she meant it when she said that she’d die for her. For any of the ones part of her dollhouse. It’s one of the reason she rose in the ranks & was so beloved by the former owner, who had gifted it to her before their passing. Her eyes flit down to the foot suddenly between her eyes before she’s looking back up at the henchwoman, fear beginning to thrum through her. Not all of her past clients had been kind & it took time to be noticed by the owner, time for that affection to grow. Gaea had suffered quite some abuse before then. The only problem was the glitch in her chip that kept anything from being deleted. So she remembered how badly people could make her hurt. ❝ Do what you have to do, ❞ she says, afraid, defeated. ❝ But I’m telling you nothing. ❞
Cooper.
“𝐈’𝐕𝐄 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐘, thank you,” the man teased. A playful grin touched his lips. Discovery because he was required to, stretching daily beyond the perimeter of their camp. Sometimes, Cooper wondered what would happen if he didn’t come back. Just kept wandering. He would never abandon Gaea and Brand like that. But the thoughts still consumed his mind. Cooper hummed softly, continuing his idle movements. “You’ve done well. Better than what I saw back on Earth.” A soft hitch rests in his chest as Cooper thought of their old home. Of his children and father. But now wasn’t the time to wallow. He made a choice and he saved humanity. “If you ever want help, I could always use a break from the labs and ships.” Joseph found gardening to be quite therapeutic.
In the beginning, she had been intimidated by him. Not sure whether or not he would be content to deal with someone who didn’t know Earth. He & Brand had that going for them, at least. And despite them all being of similar age, it left her feeling [ . . . ] Young. Gaea hadn’t struggled like they had. The potential annihilation of their race hasn’t been looming over her because the station was secure. For now, at least. Dipping her head, cheeks burning from the compliment, she only says : ❝ thank you. ❞ And the offer to help is more than welcome, her comfort in her field showing in her face. ❝ And that would be great, actually. I’m enjoying not having to weed but there’s something about the soil around here that’s making it difficult to keep the plants hydrated. I might have to move them into pots so I can create some kind of system beneath their roots. ❞ Sheepishly she asks : ❝ do you still want to help? ❞
