"Oh- You really were hungry weren’t you?” She blinked twice in disbelief. How could he allow himself to get so bad? Maybe she’d ask later. For now- He was in recovery! A smile curved her lips, hands moving to rest on her hips. “Well I’m glad I grabbed the right thing! It’s all yours!” Giggle! “I highly doubt anyone will be around for a while so it’ll be nice and quiet for us.”

He meowed through a mouthful of salmon, eating the whole fish that she'd grabbed before he flopped onto his side, panting slightly with a round stomach simply from eating so much. He'd been lonely at first, and then he'd been too weak to manage to get himself anywhere, so it had been a bad cycle. Pushing himself over to nudge under her arm, he curled up next to her leg and fell asleep, tail wrapped around her wrist to make sure she couldn't go anywhere without him.

Of course she’d heard him— So she hurried back with the other’s meal in hand. “Oi Cheshire-!” She huffed, opening the door. “It’s okay I said I’d be back!” Emerald eyes softened instantly, a sigh leaving her. “I got you something to eat. I hope it’s alright.”

Closing the distance with a hum, Oz placed the platter atop the bed sheets. “See?” She motioned to it as she removed the protective lid. “Just for you.” She wasn’t much of a fish person anyways.

The feline calmed down when he saw Oz return, glancing away slightly in what was obviously slight embarrassment. He sniffed at the air when she mentioned something to eat, his stomach growling loudly, and he tugged himself forward with some effort when he realized she'd gotten him fish. With a soft meow and a lick of her hand in gratitude, he dug in, obviously hungry with the way that he was tearing at the fish.

"You know.. You’re sorta thin Cheshire." She sighed, placing the feline on her sheets with a hum. "I’ll grab you something. Just wait here okay?" Oz was quick to scamper off in search of something. She knew he liked fish, so it didn’t take her long to choose something for him. Salmon was a good choice— Wasn’t it? For a cat it surely was. Good thing this was prepared earlier- Hopefully no one would notice its disappearance~~ "Cheshiiiiiire~!"

He meowed a sleepy protest, though when he heard the words 'wait here', his eye shot open in a panic. He didn't want to be alone. Weakly, he tried to struggle back to his paws, to catch her before she went, but she was gone, and the terror leaking out of him was real and choking.

He thought she was abandoning him. And the fear in his eye was practically tangible as he let out the loudest meow he could manage.

-kisses his kitten and clings to him- Cheshire~ I've missed you~

At any other time, he would question how in the Abyss the man was here. But right now, he was just happy to have him around again, and with a loud sob, he practically tackled the man. ”Nya, never leave Cheshire alone again!” he demanded, clinging tightly and burying his face into the man.

"I won’t~" He smiled, petting the kitten’s hair and pressing a kiss to the to of his head. Of course…. Now that he was here was it possible to get back at all…? Cuddling was much more comfortable in his pillow fort of a room where sweets and catnip was readily available to salm the chain down…..

Cheshire's ears flickered back at the kiss and he let out the softest little purr, nuzzling into the albino. He'd thought he'd lost the man, and instead, here he was, something that made the feline try not to cry even as he cuddled into the other, clingy and needy.

How cute.. Cheshire was a cat through and through, she seemed to forget that often..~ “You’ll be okay.” She pet his head gently. “You can even have my pillow~” Well.. She had multiple ones so he had his pick really.

Now, getting him home? Simple. Sneaking him into her room? Even easier. No one was really around during this time of day so it made her ninja-ry that more.. Ninja-.. Like..?

The feline just rested his head on her arm, closing his eye. He was tired, having not eaten in weeks, and being carried made it easier on him to nap simply out of sheer exhaustion. He trusted her not to let him get hurt. At least, not too badly anyway.

And he's just going to bite down harder. Being beaten up sounds lovely right about now.

Cat— C-CAT—!

No! She couldn’t squeal or anything! She had to keep a serious facade! “Okay, I’ve decided. You’re staying with me for now.” No one had to know. Besides, it wasn’t like a lot of people were allowed into her room. “I hope that’s alright with you.” She giggled softly as she scooped him up into her arms.

He let out a weak meow, rusty from misuse, and cuddled up into her chest weakly before closing his eye. It was fairly obvious who he was, what with his missing eye, but he could care less right now. Oz was warm and she cared enough to take him home and that was enough for him right now.

For a moment she wondered if she could lift him. Doubtful- Even with her B-Rabbit power. Then again— “Cheshire..” She released a soft sigh, rubbing her cheek against his head then. “You know- I’m your friend right?” She spoke softly, “If something is wrong you can always talk to me. Or else I can sniff you out. That can work too hm~?” She really didn’t like seeing him upset..

And that made him feel a little better. The rub against his head, the words... they weren't enough to fix him, but they were comfort, so he managed to nod, shaky, and then gathered himself together, digging around for any scrap of energy he had so that he could turn himself back into his cat form, lying on her lap but now the perfect size for her to carry.

So something had happened. The sob itself was enough to alert her to that. A single hand moved to pet the Chain’s head in a comforting manner. “It’s okay Cheshire.. Honest..” What was okay? She didn’t know. Surely he just needed the company at the moment. Poor guy..

"If you wanna talk I’m here, hm?"

He couldn't even manage to work up a purr, that was how exhausted he was. He was tired and upset, and crying was enough to take the very last of it out of him. He had slept, yes, but only to stave off the pangs of hunger until they were nonexistent, and then he had slept since when he was asleep, he could dream he wasn't so alone.

His tail wrapped around part of her leg, the only thing he felt he had enough energy to do.

"What happened..?" She was so confused- He looked.. Hurt? Just what happened to him?

Oz released a soft sigh, a slight smile tugging at her lips before she merely moved to tug the feline into a hug. Even if he’d shove her away- She’d try to give him some sort of comfort. She was a Chain also- So maybe there was a chance she could understand. If only he’d talk to her. Geez.

He'd dared to trust someone. He'd fallen in love. He'd thought that he had found someone who would never let him be alone. Wrong on all accounts.

He wanted to push her away... but he was too weak for even that. Instead he let out a soft sob and buried his face into the crook of her neck, seeking any form of comfort as he started to cry softly. He didn't want to be alone ever again. He'd waste away.

“Ah.” She found him. “Cheshire? What’s the matter?” She wasn’t dumb. She could feel something off about the feline Chain and she didn’t like it one bit.

The feline didn't even speak. To speak would be human, to admit that he still hurt. While he was a cat... he could escape some of the pain. Instead of answering, he just looked at her and let her feel all of his pain, the agony of it worse than it was when he was guarding the memory, if only for the taste of happiness that he'd had afterwards.
