OK ya'll listen up. I haven't been on this blog in a while because I've found my way into the roleplaying community as Akane Awakusu, and I really really like it here. SO I'm going to make a permanent character home and abandon this whole 'multi-muse' thing. I was pretty bad at it.

NOW HERE'S THE GOOD NEWS- Another blog just started up that basically had the exact same idea as this one- it's a multi-muse blog for all of the characters in Durarara.

Now I'm actually considering using this account to make a Shinra Kishitani blog, so either way this thing is gonna go bye bye sooner or later. And until it does, there probably won't be any updates.

"Forget about it," Erika’s form surfaced from Mikado’s behind, looking irritated and all sorts of annoyed, "The places that I need are closed."

The government supposedly did its best not to cause panic or massive chaos but how could such a thing not happen? Stores were closing and the places that were open were out of any kinds of useful stock. People were buying nonperishable items by the shelf-full, stacking cans high in their arms and running out of the storms like maniacs on a rampage.

"I don’t know how they thought this was going to work," she complained, folding her arms over her chest, "If we can’t leave this place for a month then what are we supposed to eat? Maybe it’ll work on some sort of drop-off system…" maybe there would be specialized teams of people to come and drop off supplies to their doors? But there had to be an awful lot of supplies and how did they know what everyone liked?

"This kind of thing reminds me of something but I can’t think of what… maybe it was in a movie before, or a manga… I can’t remember what they did…"

For three weeks she’d been coming up with all sorts of explanations as to what something like this could be about. Maybe they were after a dangerous criminal and this was the only way they could find him — put the country on hold! But he could easily have already left the country and they’d never done anything like this before…

"I bet it’s an experiment," she grinned, "A human experiment and we’re all the subjects!"

Mikado instinctively backed away, giving Erika plenty of space to wave her arms about as she spoke.

"Uh, I don't think so..." He replied nervously, itching at his cheek. "At least, that's a pretty risky way to gather results."

However, Erika's worries had a real foundation. Mikado himself wasn't sure what they were going to eat, and with the number and code given to them proving useless, there didn't seem to be anyone to ask. Well, there was that one person...

"Karisawa-san, we're going to need more information if we're going to make it through the month, um, comfortably." He told her, trying to keep up a naive appearance, "Do you know anyone who might be able to advise us?"

He really hoped she would suggest Orihara herself so that he wouldn't have to talk to the informant, but maybe Erika knew something he didn't. Mikado was always open to an option that didn't involve Izaya. His phone itched in his pocket, whining at him to check the Dollars' webpage. Not in front of Erika, he frowned, she might share it with Kadota-san. And if Kadota knew, Mikado would need to explain.
