not super sure if there's much point to this, BUT I've read through my inbox (and entirely intend to respond to the lovely messages) and figured I'd come and say hello to this pretty corner of people after all this time!

I'll keep it short and simple - trying to adult kicked my ass in almost every possible way and I've kind of had perhaps the toughest year of my life. I have a good support system and incredible people around me - but it's also been a few nice years of branching out and fostering new interests, growing up a bit; you know the likes.

Well, here. I hope every one of you that ever read my story and interacted with me in any way is having a whale of a time out there. Really hard to do, these days. Planets a whirlpool of whiplash and straight-up carnage, but there are still nice things. Stuff to keep going for.

I'm not really sure if I'll ever manage to finish Pushing Up The Daisies. For all of your sakes, I'd love to say eventually, I will. And, look, maybe one day I will - but I apologise in advance if it doesn't happen because I'm so aware of the frustration of an unfinished fic. It's so shit.

The support for me and my writing from you lot was beautiful, and carried me through a really hard time for a while. I'll always be grateful for that, actually. I really needed that purpose, then.

I know you get alot of Fabio asks so im very sorry if this is annoying 😭 but does he (or Rico) have any siblings? Or are we going to see that when the story progresses?

DO U HAVE THOUGHTS ABT CAMILOS SHAPESHIFTING. like what are his limits. this question has been on my mind for ages but here's the thing: camilo can shapeshift into people wearing different clothes so if he shapeshifts into someone wearing a bracelet. and then takes off the bracelet and shifts back into camilo. what happens to the bracelet. does it just disappear into thin air or does it like turn into flesh and jump back into his skin.

What was your inspiration for this ff? What are your plans for it?

honestly i drew inspiration from all over the place, shows i watched, books i read, over all just a general interest in this kind of genre, and i wanted to throw a darker twist on his character and storyline. camilo is such an interesting character for me and i really wanted to dive into his personality and give more depth to a more angsty side of him the movie didn’t show, with a modernised sort of take on it! it’s always fun to play around with characters that aren’t developed around our society to put them in situations they wouldn’t face in their world.

i have a lot of plans for upcoming chapters, where the story is going to how, how he’s going to end up, the paths he’ll take, the journey he’s going on and the ultimate result in each and every decision he makes. much darker things are coming, and the consequences for his actions definitely aren’t gentle or to be taken lightly ;)

ive gotta admit the character interactions im most interested in seeing other than camilo and mirabel are camilo and the adults! obvs felix but id love to see more of julieta and agustin! agustin and camilo are NEVER in the same room in encanto fics so it'd be cool 💀 i love that clumsy ass man
