A Starter for @heredis-sanguinis
Megaera really had no reason to be on this side of Prime, and it was very clear she didn’t fit in. However with most of her friends in the legion shipped off to all the corners of the world and Caitiff up to her ears in her Warmason duties, it was shaping up to be a boring Friday night. Usually she would have just spent the night watching reckoner fights but Meg had a bad habit of betting, and losing, money in the hype of the moment. Currently down on cash she took the more sensible route and looked around to do something else. If only so she didn’t have to listen to Caitiff chew her out about wasting money again.
Guess it was a novel idea in concept, to catch at least a glimpse of those preening aristocrats pretty houses. Maybe even find some fancy tavern to slip into and get a single expensive drink, and it’s not like too many people would mess with her when she still had her greatsword on her. The longer she walked on the more bored she became, and worse she was now lost in a sea gothic manors. It’s when Megaera stops in a square to try and get her bearings that an ashen haired woman openly mocks the Gloryseeker. The blood mages three companions all laughing along with her roast at Meg’s unkempt appearance.
“What did you say to me bitch!” Immediately Megaera turns to confront the quartet, not at all the smartest decision, but she had already gotten frustrated in these fancy fucks side of the city a long time ago. “I’m fucking Trifarian,” Meg points to the three black dots tattooed on her neck. “You really gonna talk shit to someone who’s fought alongside the Hand of Noxus himself.” The Gloryseeker isn’t quiet with her boast and her voice almost seems to echo of the surrounding tall mansions as if disturbing some unspoken peace.
It was not uncommon for his underlings to walk and act prideful towards others. Especially those of ‘lower’ seeming circles of life. This seemed like such a case, with Ophelia being the one to call out and mock another female. And off course, the other three followed suit albeit with laughter only and letting the Noradi scion talk.
More laughter erupted from the group as the Trifarian rebutted their insults. “Seems like this Trifarian mutt of the Hand needs to be put in her place and taught some manners.”
She stepped forward a bit, smirking and full of that high-and-mighty attitude that she had been showing. Her hand making very slow motions, unnoticed unless paid attention to.
Abruptly she froze in her strut, eyes widened betraying a fear inside. Her limbs twitching as if struggling to move at all. Her gaze directed no longer to the Trifarian, but instead past her. Behind her.
“You would cause a disturbance for something petty and juvenile? With the gift I bestowed upon you all?” a voice called out from behind Megaera. Although seemingly calm in questioning the situation, there lingered a certain annoyance and threat in the words and tone.
Were she to turn, Vladimir would be standing a few feet away. Face stern, almost aggravated. Ruby and golden clothes that betrayed his aristocrat background, with a crimson glow to his eyes almost the colour of blood.
He had observed the scene quietly, hidden from all, as he would prefer. But he sensed one of his underlings would attempt to use his craft, his art, his magic, He would not stand for such a uncouth display, least of all in public and against one such as a Trifarian. He had to step in, lest any of it escalated and traced back to him, due to the nature of the magic used.
Mortals... such ignorance to their actions.
“My lord... I... I-I was...”
“No excuses, Ophelia. As I have said many a time, ‘Manners maketh, children. No remove yourselves from my sight, and this young lady’s.”
As if rats fleeing a sinking ship, the four made haste to do as they were told. Not even daring to look back.
“Pray, do accept my apologies for them, my dear. They are... brazen and in dire need of education.” His tone shifted to an almost charming and sincere one. The crimson glow vanishing from his eyes, to reveal pale irises, looking down at her. As if to over-emphasize his words, he bowed towards her with arms stretched to the side, but kept his eyes on her during the whole motion.
