Well, I'll be! I wasn't expecting our interview to go like this, ha. Catch the live footage of my interview with a Jirachi Fanatic and the real deal now!
[It's a video, with a MV385 news ticker scrolling slowly over it, captioned "Rare Millenium Comet Draws Jirachi Enthusiasts".
Rohan stands in a MV385 Jirachi-branded T-shirt and holds a microphone out, next to a Jirachi fangirl wearing a star-shaped hat decorated with tanzaku, a Jirachi t-shirt, and holding a large Jirachi plush.
"So, what would you say you love most about Jirachi?"
"Its cute little sleeping face! I wouldn't even want a wish from the little cutie, just all of the pictures in the world! I know you can't really say whether the reports from sightings are right or not, but I've heard it looks just like a swaddled little baby while it wakes up, and it's the absolute cutest Pokémon ever! Doubly so because it's rare! And even if I don't see the real one, I can take a picture with the comet overhead..."
As the fangirl continues on excitedly, Rohan glancing at the cameraperson for a cue on when to cut off this answer for the next one, a small yellow white and blue Pokémon drifts into sight, bumping sleepily against Rohan's side as its ribbons unfurl. It rubs its eyes.
"It appears we've got a guest here, for all of the folks at home. Say, you look just like the real--"
The fangirl descends on the miniature mythical as it continues to slowly wake up, confused; the camera zooms in on the Pokémon as if to confirm the spectacle on air. Rohan holds the mic out to the Jirachi, stifling a laugh.
"Your honorable Jirachi, any comments on today's momentous comet passing?"
"Jiii..." The Pokémon yawns into the microphone.
"Mr. weatherperson guy. You have GOT to make a wish! This is literally once in a thousand years!!! It's just sitting there!"
"Come on, Rohan," the cameraperson remarks, the camera shaking. "I've got a pen here, so go ahead and wish for a billion Pokédollars or something! And then I'm going next!"
"Oh, come on, I don't even know what I'd wish for... I've got everything I need! Incredible wife, perfect kids..."
"I dunno, I'd still take the billion..."
Rohan thinks, smiles kindly at the Jirachi, and then takes the pen, writing in tiny font the camera doesn't pick up. Rohan kneels down to Kachikachi, below camera height, and tilts his head, but stands up and shrugs shortly after.
"Oh, oh, I think the wishes don't get granted until its third eye opens or something!! I think that's when the comet is totally overhead! Or maybe after?"
"Well, if it doesn't work, it's no skin off my back. What about you? Need me to take the camera?"
The camera's quickly shuffled from the cameraperson to Rohan, who chuckles behind the screen as the cameraperson repeats to themselves "one billion, one billion..."
Unsurprisingly, no billion Pokédollars manifest, but Jirachi yawns and floats away slowly after the wish is made, prompting the Jirachi enthusiast to follow after as the camera switches hands again and Rohan adjusts his tie.
"Well, you've seen it here, viewers! An exclusive interview with Jirachi, the wishmaker! Stay tuned for the Millenium Comet any moment now!"]
