I got to observe a recording session for Tokyo Ghoul for the first time yesterday.

It left a huge impact on me, watching the cast perform before my very eyes.

The audio staff were doing their best, and although I might be saying this too late, it’s going to feel lonely once the anime comes to an end.

Let’s keep listening to the following broadcasts with gratefulness in our hearts.

20181116 Translation of Ishida and Takahashi’s interview with BuzzFeed Japan

It took me 3 days to translate this monster of an interview (~3.5k word count lol), but it’s finally done! My hands need a break after typing for so long…

Thank you to the interviewer Kashima Yui for asking some really great questions, and BuzzFeed JP for making this interview happen. I really enjoyed seeing Ishida and Takahashi banter back and forth, you can really tell that they’re great friends, and I’m happy to have witnessed a sliver of their relationship.

Also, I’m far from perfect, so if I’ve made a mistake or mistranslated something, please let me know.

Edit: Fixed a line from Takahashi saying, “You did it,” to “He got me.”

No, not that.

If I’m not getting sucked in by the drawings I’m working on, I end up having a hard time because I find that I can’t work on it.

I feel like I’ve improved a bit in claywork, but it’d be better for me to take up watercolour drawings, or colouring methods.

I think I should draw a bit more.

Come to think of it, I thought that I wouldn’t draw any more characters that I drew during serialization, but the designs got into my head and I didn’t have to worry about what to draw, so I ended up drawing them.

Well, I’m fine with it either way.

Oh, I’m thinking of buying the new issue of Jump to see the new serialization by Fujimoto Tatsuki.**
