       “W-What? That sounds tough, you know.” He sighed, crossing his arms as he stared at the girl with wide eyes. It didn’t sound as troublesome as the past he hailed from before, although he couldn’t help but feel like he was in the wrong place– this place definitely was not Ylisse, as it had been confirmed. Although, Nohr sounded quite familiar– where was it from?

        “Ah, I wish I was able to do that.” Inigo mumbled, eyes vacant as he remembered how his father refused to let him join the Shepherds, since he was still weak and young. Lucina was the most capable out of all of them, but even she wasn’t allowed to fight until it was too late. “Kamui, huh?”

        “Why, Soleil? Befitting of such a vibrant woman, you must give life to everyone you pass.” Nailed it.

      ❝Life can be tough everyday, but by smiling and going forward, it’s possible to make it through! I would think that doing so makes you stronger too!❞ There had been moments where she wanted to stop and cry, but by remembering her father’s words, she recalled gaining the strength to continue.

      ❝I forced my way in!❞ she admitted, looking all too proud by her past accomplishment. Soleil always wished for her father to protect her and in part, she wanted to protect him; what other way than learning how to fight? To her young self, that had been the answer. And in the secluded lands that she had been in, attacks were very much a thing, and so she gave them her help. ❝Yep, Kamui! And well we were looking for our parents, or I guess it’s more like the other way around-❞ here, she shrugged, ❝but it’s either be left alone and eventually be attacked or join the army and fight there too. The latter ended up being the safest.❞

      Good show. ❝Like the rising sun, I like to bring warmth to everything it touches. But even I think you give off your own radiance, judging by your smile, sir.❞

  “Soleil, is that you?” Marx called, his voice booming despite the fact that they were outside. A few people jumped, but he didn’t seem to pay them any mind. In fact, he hadn’t even noticed that Soleil was talking to someone until he had already called out to her.

  “…Oh, I didn’t mean to intrude. I only wanted to ask you if you had seen Siegbert around. I know that he enjoys your company greatly, so I thought he may be nearby.”

      ❝Eep!❞ A noise of surprise, and Soleil turned to look over her shoulder at the male; more shocked at showing up suddenly rather than her current actions, that of which consisted of her leaning closely to a girl and having one of her arms up to rest near her head. The girl then ducked her head and ran off from underneath Soleil’s arm, and the female mercenary could only stare forlornly for a second at the retreating back before turning back to Marx and smiling.

      ❝It’s me. Aha, nothing that I can’t fix, Lord Marx,❞ she replied, raising a hand to brush through her long hair. Like they say: there’s plenty of fish in the sea. ❝Oh, Siegbert? I haven’t see him today, he’s probably off doing serious stuff like always, but if there’s a message that you want to give to him, you can tell me and I’ll tell him!❞

      She then placed her hands on her hips, grinning over a part of Marx’s statement. ❝’Enjoys my company greatly,’ huh. I may not know where he’s at all the time, actually it feels like he’s able to find me more than the other way around. ...actually you two are pretty similar in that regard!❞

"Soleil, as promised, I brought a lot of girls to your house. Your father is visibly alarmed, but that shouldn't matter." Kamui stated with a laugh, holding a pouch of gold. "I didn't have the time to get a proper gift, but will this suffice?"

      ❝Thank you, thank you, thank you~!❞ Soleil exclaimed, wasting no time to give Kamui a quick hug to show her gratitude alongside her thanks. Holding out her hands to have Kamui simply drop it off there, she smiled brightly. ❝Aha, you don’t have to worry about Dad, I’ll share with him. And that works for me, you really didn’t have to since you already brought over girls, but I shouldn’t turn down your gift. Thanks again, Kamui!❞
