My mind's filled with too many what ifs lately.. like what if I wasn't living in the Philippines?

What if I made a different decision back in high school?

What if I didn't choose civil engineering as my profession?

What if I never lowered my self respect, what would've happened?

What if I never listened and cared about everybody's opinion?

And the most recent one, what if the government responded quickly? How different would our lives be?

It's already been more than a year since it started. A lot has happened. We've lost too much. Loved ones, jobs, our freedom..

But most importantly, our time.

We could've made a lot of memories.. We could've spent our summer in the beach, with family and friends. We could've travelled to other places, met new people and made new memories.

Do you know the saddest part? We'll never get that back. Unfortunately, only some of us have realized just how much it's taken.

I could've made a lot of decisions, life-changing ones. I could've started a whole new life, the one that I wanted for myself.

This government's negligence during this pandemic is something I can never forget and accept.

If only they had closed the borders early..

If only they listened to what the people are saying..

If only they cared.

We've lost a lot of our time.

And we can never get it back.
