Two pink, round creatures standing apart, facing one another, each one holding up a large bean-shaped object, shimmering multiple colors. This image was the first to stand out in the recent memories of a certain individual. The two creatures were now shimmering themselves, having ingested the bean-shaped objects. It was clear that the two were against each other. The certain individual felt tense as he recollected this image. The creatures were now creating vortexes with their mouths, both trying to inhale and consume each other, gathering only the plants and rocks around them. They were evenly-matched, creating a terrible situation that only the individual had realized would occur; the two evenly-powered vortexes would begin to create a tear in that location in the universe. A tear which would only begin to grow, consuming the entirety of the universe until nothing was left in it. The two creatures had stopped their battle to look helplessly as the tear they had created destroyed the very ground, plants, and even air in front of them. One of the creatures looked concerned, scared of what would happen, while the other… The other creature had a smile on its face. The smile grew wider as it began to laugh. A laugh that still rings in the individual’s mind "Whoops! That sure didn’t go like I wanted to! Well, I sure had fun! Hope you guys enjoy the gift! I made it with love. And hunger, but let’s just say love so that I can keep an adorable image, okay?" Those words haunt the individual to this day. This was the last thing he could remember. He could not even remember the feeling of the rift that took him and the two creatures in. No… It wasn’t just him and the creatures. Two other beings were there at the scene. He knew these beings. One was a fat bird in regal attire. He… he was the king of the local area. Another being, around the same size and shape of the pink creatures, was standing beside the king. Yes… he was the king’s servant. The top commander at that. He did not take time to notice if the two tried to escape the rift. It did not matter at that time. They were all doomed to be sucked into it. To meet their ends eventually. …So why was this individual alive? He woke up a few moments later; the words of one of the pink creatures still rang in his head in the first moments of awakening. He immediately looked himself over, checking for any abnormalities, changes, or damages to his body. As far as he could tell, he was unharmed, bar a particularly painful migraine. Whether he gained this from his awakening, or from the rift himself, he did not know. However, he did take note that things seemed amiss. He knew that he was pulled into a rift, and that it was caused by two creatures, but he had already forgotten what these creatures looked like, or even how they managed to do so. In fact, he noted that there were a lot of memories that became blank, where he knew events had occurred. He tried to remember what things happened before this event. The king… Dedede was his name, had been kidnapped by some villains hailing from a giant beanstalk that descended from the sky… He learned that Kirby had gone to rescue him, and succeeded, merging the kingdom they lived in, Dreamland, with the kingdom of the beanstalk, originally owned by the peaceful Floralians. That is, until Dedede had taken hold of the Floralians’ land, making it part of Dreamland. This was just par for the course for the greedy king, as the individual knew. …The king! He had nearly forgotten that the king must have shared his fate. If the individual had survived, then would the king have as well? As if on cue, the individual heard a gruff, almost scared-sounding voice call his name from behind. "…M-meta Knight? You’re finally up?" Dedede asked hesitantly, as if worried about the upcoming conversation with the knight. "Yes." The individual, Meta Knight, had replied, regaining full composure, and wrapping his cloak around him. "Are you unharmed, then? The rift seems to have had less of an effect than I had expected. To think that we have survived the event with nary a scratch…" Dedede breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed that he shared the same thought as the knight. “Oh good, I’m not crazy! Something’s up! Waddle Dee doesn’t remember anything about it! Neither does Kirby! I mean… I don’t remember much either, but at least I know it happened!” Meta Knight contemplated this information for a moment before replying. “It is not just faulty memory for you three. I have forgotten many events that came before it as well. It appears as if the rift has indeed taken something from us: our memories. The question is now, why did you and I retain more memories than Kirby or your servant? Something must be at work here, and I intend to find out exactly what that is.” He began to walk in the direction of his ship: the Halberd, in order to find some sort of clue as to what happened, and why. Before the knight could leave, however, the king stopped him for one more question. “Wait! Uh… before you go, do you remember anything about those… alternate universe things?” The knight halted for a brief moment to respond to Dedede. “Yes. But only the fact that they exist, and the locations of a select few. I intend to investigate them soon enough to see if I can recall any memories. You’re welcome to come with me, stay here, or investigate on your own terms. I do not care what you do, but I shall not stand idly by as my remaining memories fade away.” Meta Knight walked off, clearly intent on wasting no more time dawdling. Dedede sighed and rubbed his head. “Yeah, i figured as much. I need to rest… This is all way too confusing. He’s smart, he’ll figure out what’s up without my help. It was bad enough knowing about the universes, but now I know about them, but can’t remember WHAT I know. Ugh… what a day…” the king groaned, turning tail and walking back to his castle.
((Hello, everybody, this is Proto, aka, Heroes of Dreamland. So uh… Shit happened. Shit happened so hard, it nearly killed my mood for rping completely. That’s bad. But now I’m back. That’s good! But Kirby and Waddle Dee are no longer a part of it. That’s bad… or is that good? Heh. Anyway, I decided to choose only Meta Knight and Dedede, because these two were the most develop out of the four, which is why it’s only them. I had the most fun with these guys, but that doesn’t mean that Kirby and Waddle Dee are completely gone. Just… not a big part of it. They’ll still appear every once in a while, and hell, they might end up playing big roles in some things, if the timing calls for them. Either way, I’m back, and hopefully things’ll be all right now.
Oh, and yes, the beginning did involve Kirby against Avalanche!Kirby. I won’t say whether or not he’ll take part in some things… Heheheh…))
((Moved blogs. Kept this one up. Probably won't be replying to much for a while, since I'll be busy setting things up, but feel free to follow if you want, and I'll work on a couple of starter posts if I have time today.))
