Hello, hello, to my quaint au corner. a spin-off what if of the show Wordgirl. (honestly tho I could turn this into an original works blog due to the amount of characters i made lol/gen) Not a lot of theories about the other possible and canon mentioned towns in the wordgirl universe so i decided to expand on that! :D we'll be following four heroes and their stories as they navigate through their hero life! some info on the main cast can be found here: https://www.tumblr.com/heroesofnewport/734723155548094464?source=share however much more will be revealed about them over time- Via: Asks and the occasional lore drop I'll do for this blog.

for @melodythebunny Rhonda was shaking, yet the murderous glare towards the man pointing a gun at her never left her face. "I'm sorry my dear. But I can't let you escape again. Your mere existence poses a threat to our daughter's wellbeing. Surely you as her mother can understand that." Darius spoke in a calm tone. Rhonda could still see the crazed and malevolent glint in his eyes. What a hypocrite! He never truly cared about her nor her daughter Thea. Thea would always be her daughter, never his despite what genetics say. Rhonda was snapped out of her thoughts and back to the situation at hand when she heard the click of Darius's gun as he was aiming it directly at her forehead. Rhonda was shaking, but with fear and rage at her murderer, Darius Brewster. The man she once thought she would spend a happy life with. The man with whom she once loved so much, she ignored the red flags like this. His determination to get anything he wanted through any means necessary. "Any last words my darling Rhonda?" Darius asked in a sly tone. Rhonda remained silent for a while, glaring at the man who wanted to get rid of his obstacles by any means necessary. Which now included her. "Yes I do." Rhonda finally responded. A single tear fell down her cheek. One that was shed out of remorse and sorrow for her daughter who would be stuck with this monster. "This is exactly why I never wanted to fall in love with you." Rhonda spat out.

Late night brainstorm The Newport heroes vs Mr. Charming. Would Mr. Charming considered them corrupt since he only considers Wordgirl and Huggy pure? Would he and Atomic Steel get along or have conflicts along the line? Oof poor Blur would be so confused and shocked when Mr. Charming's mask comes off. @dualnaturedscientist

Honestly depends? I mean

atomic steel wouldn't care for how mr.charming treated the villains. He however would step in if mr.charming targets any of the civilians since it's heroes duty to keep citizens safe etc etc and that means law abiding ones. Not the criminals. So that's where the conflicts would start at. Despite this he has more respect for Mr.charming than he has for Dr. Two brains.

Now for Fern and Hydro, they would try to stop his plans. Villains or not, they can't just stand by and let him get away with his schemes. They know the Fair city villains aren't like the Newport ones. And even then they wouldn't just go out and try to kill bad guys especially if they're not causing major harm. There's justice systems for a reason.

And yeah E.B. would be just as confused as the rest of them. Definitely not the author she remembers either way. No matter which one she believed to be Steven originally, it's like he went against everything he stood for. And no she doesn't even know his time working for his father Maddrix nor that they're even related. Would Steven even count as her mentor? I mean she lived by the book he wrote so indirectly he was??

Liam has a snek plushie.

Carrie aka Scarlett kitty got her costume from a clearance rack (kinda did this without her parents noticing so yeah gotta work with what she can). Though she dose upgrade/change out her costume eventually to be more uniformed.

Atomic hates the bunny onsie E.b. got him for Christmas (she got all her friends animal onesies) anddd ended up wearing it after he lost a bet to fern.

new ocs! They're ment to Sorta resemble the justice league/avengers of the wordgirl universe (honestly can use them for original works as well) added a bit more info to them aside from what I had from discord

Atomic steel. one of his powers is super strength. Another is the ability to turn his body into steel. His dad was a former hero. But after witnessing his dad's murder by a villain he vowed revenge. Dude was barely a teen when his dad died :'(. His father was killed by Maddrix (@ninjastormhawkkat 's oc) when he was on his hero killing spree. He's pretty cold and brutal towards villians and even some civilians as well. Despite this the people of Newport cheer him on. And he has met Amazo guy one time before. He is the leader of this hero group and does have a self-righteous vibe to him.

The electric blur (in some alternate universe she becomes a villainess named Voltrage) she gain her powers as a kid when she got struck by lightning. Of course at the time she didn't know how to control herself and wound up frying her family to death by accident. For a while she was deemed a threat bc of her uncontrollably powers. electric blur can understand the Energy monster Maria. And they're actually siblings. She has to wear special types of gloves to keep herself from electrocuting anyone else.

Hydro is an alantian. He was sent out to contact the over landers (what they call us since we live on land lol) and was basically an ambassador for some time. He ended up saving people after a bad flood. They dubbed him a hero. He's pretty friendly and loyal by default. He has razor sharp teeth which are venomous. He is however deathly Afraid of felines and should be kept away for them. He can control water. And ofc being a fish person he cannot survive in a desert. He would last shorter than a human kid without any sort of protection. He is very knowledgeable about the seas and oceans so you'd never be lost at sea with him around.

Fern trap. She's from a planet that is basically super earth if that makes sense. Called Erthia (Inspired by real life findings of super Earth's in outer space!/pos) her race evolved from plants however. They're pretty advanced in technology however some stupidity with it caused their planet to experience global warming and they all fled to not die. Also because other planets were stealing their resources. Basically there are two types of erthians. Ones that rely on sunlight to thrive and the others who are carnivores like how we have carnivorous plants. And yes she has plant based powers. She once met kid math while visiting hexigon planet.

I also have some other headcanons for the newport heroes Rose Franklin fills in Becky on what she knows about the heroes. She tried to find out their identities in the past before she moved to Fair City. She doesn't do it when they come to Fair City after her experience with Becky. The heroes sort of adopt Becky and Rex as young hero siblings. Rex hangs out with the four more so than Becky. Dr. Two Brains doesn't like it when Becky actively hangs out with the four. He doesn't forbid her but he tries to discourage her from hanging out with them. Becky is a little wary around Atomic Steel in the beginning because he reminded her of Miss Power a bit. She felt sympathy for him when he finally told her about his dad and how he died. Becky is secretly worried and frightened a bit over Professor Terror and Maddrix the Malicious even though she hasn't met them before. (as far as she knows😈) Two Brains tells her that they are long gone and he won't let them hurt her if they do return. Becky gets confused why her dad always looks sad when she tells him about her worries over the two villains. The reason Dr. Two Brains doesn't want Becky hanging out with the four newport heroes is because he doesn't want them to mention Professor Terror or Maddrix around her. She is better off not knowing about either of them. @dualnaturedscientist

Oddly enough I can see atomic trying to mentor her. Perhaps all four of them fight over mentorship (But everyone knows it's her u-u)

E.b.: thanks to this book written by professor Steven boxleitner I was able to start my path as a hero
