ooc: Yes, it's possible I may give it a shot. When I first starting an RP blog I bounced back and forth between Sora and Riku--Sora was always my writing muse, which is why I picked Riku--to try something new.

Gummi Ship Songs

Destiny Islands. If one thought about the name for more than a few minutes, you could basically feel the irony seep through.

Memories. That single word would be one of the first things to pop up in his head when he thought about his birthplace, including the names of his best friends. Sora knew that he loved Destiny islands, whether he would admit it out loud or keep that confession to himself.

Back to the present, he was currently defining sluggish in his actions, letting the bright daylight get the better of him. It was just like the good old days during their raft building process, he’d end up lazing around the beach while Riku did most of the work. Hands were behind Sora’s head as he laid down on the warm sand as well as beginning to hum a similar song that Donald, Goofy, and himself would sing through the longer gummi ship rides.

He didn’t realize that one of his best friends was currently advancing towards him. So with his eyes closed, he continued to hum, his tune changing every once in a while out of instinct.

Dammit, where the hell did I drop them!?

It seemed so mundane to have (tragically) lost his key ring at the beach. He'd come to the play island that morning to read his book in solitude, but once he'd gotten to his car to go home, he'd realized grimly that his key ring had no longer been in his pocket. So he'd been forced to paddle all the way back to the play island to stomp around the places he'd visited, praying to God that he'd dropped his keys somewhere in sand and away from the snatches of the tide.

He'd regretted being lazy enough to drive his car to the beach at all--but he'd wanted to go to do some light shopping afterwards. Well, so much for that. Now he'd probably be key-hunting for at least a solid hour...

Despite his haste, he didn't miss the other paddle boat that had been tied to the post. He'd wondered who's it was--likely Kairi--as it was still fairly early and couldn't imagine Sora being awake. Whoever it was, he'd run into them sooner or later.

After docking his own boat, he started to trace back his steps. Across the dock, through the sand, around Sora--

Ah, so it was Sora's boat.

Watching Sora lying on the sand, hands tucked behind his head and asleep, made Riku smile a little. Typical lazy Sora. Sometimes it was simply surreal to Riku how they'd found themselves back into their boring lives again. Riku didn't rely too much on it though; he figured in time that would change once again.

As Riku advanced, he realized that Sora wasn't sleeping after all--he was humming to himself. It was a lighthearted tune that he'd never heard before, and it sounded like something he would have heard at Disney Castle.

He stood next to Sora, wondering how long it would take the brunet to notice his presence. When a solid minute had passed, Riku stepped around so that he was casting a shadow of Sora. Maybe that'd get his attention.

ooc: Activity update.

For those of you who roleplay with me, (just a few, but I know you guys are here) I'm so sorry that I have seemed to disappeared off the map. I haven't forgotten any of my threads here or this Tumblr in general. At work, I've been working a solid 40 hours (probably around 10 more than I'd been working at my old job) and some of those are 12 hour days. Those days are literally work, eat, relax for an hour maybe, sleep. Then I've been taking care of my guinea pig, and Resident Evil was recently released, so I've just been lacking motivation to turn on my laptop. It's been on maybe a few times in the last month.

You are always free to contact me via my personal to send a reminder. There's no one here I don't want to roleplay with, honestly. I'm just a little overwhelmed. 

Oh, and next week? I start working nights. So I'll probably be dead to the world for a week or two while my body's clock adjusts.

What really sucks is that right before I started this new job, I really wanted to try a Sora blog. Ugh.

Okay, so I seriously doubt that most of you really noticed (not asking for the pity party, merely sad fact) but I started chatting with a few of you about roleplaying (as a draft sits around waiting to be replied to) before I suddenly upped and disappeared.

So just bear with me while I get situated in this really sudden life shift (I've relocated 40 minutes away from my house to start an entirely new job so I'm just sort of weirded out).

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT HESITATE TO CONTACT ME HERE OR VIA MY PERSONAL. (The latter will probably get you more luck.) I certainly don't want to drop any threads; it's possible that I've forgotten to reply. And I'm serious, so stop doubting that I really don't want to, okay?
