thinking about how, amongst so many other issues, things wouldn't work out for them in the end because corey would just get far too jealous of charlie.

corey hates knowing billy has someone else to talk to, someone that corey will never be able to meet, someone who is with billy all day every day, someone who has more control over billy than corey ever could.

corey hates when billy's attention starts drifting away from him because charlie is saying something. and corey can always tell, no matter how subtle billy thinks he's being.

corey hates the way billy will turn away from him just slightly to mutter a reply to charlie instead. sometimes corey eavesdrops from just outside of the room, listening to billy talk and talk and talk, and he hates it the most if billy sounds happy.

corey hates how billy so easily goes of into his own private world with charlie, leaving corey on the outside, on his own, like he always is.

corey's extended family never even knew he existed until they get a call informing them that they are his (and joan's) next of kin. they're informed of the investigation. they're told joan and corey were both murdered.

joan had no contact with any of her family after she moved away, which was long before corey was born. one of her sisters -- corey's aunt -- drives out to haddonfield to deal with the legalities and to organise their burials. it was strange, organising the last rites of someone she had never met.

the first time she sees corey is in a cheap casket at the funeral home. he's cold and grey, with a slashed throat and bruised face.

later, when she helps ronald's brother clear out the cunningham-prevo house, she sees the photographs of corey that line the walls, and she wonders how he ended up the way he did. wonders how the little boy in those photos -- who looks so much like his cousins that he never got the chance to meet -- became the traumatised young man who ended up dead before he even made it to 25.

oh god not to dnp post in 2025 but i am obsessed with phil's personality. not that i didn't like him before, but seeing how different he is now that he can be open on the phod makes me like him so much more. this is my parasocial moment because i feel like i could be friends with this phil, but not past phil.

that time of year has arrived already, and this year it's the THIRD anniversary of halloween ends !!

every year seems stranger than the last -- on one hand, i can't believe it's only been three years since meeting all of you, but at the same time three years seems such a short amount of time for how profoundly ends has changed my life.
