— ✿       Ilia always had the most beautiful singing voice. She didn’t even have to try, and Lin was constantly entranced. Lin sat upon the root of a long fallen tree, watching closely as her long time friend serenaded her. She had half the mind to play along with her pan flute– yet that would just ruin it. 

Ilia didn’t try to be as perfect as she was. 

Lin tilted her head back for a moment, relishing in the sweet notes. Ah, if only she could save this for the nights she couldn’t sleep. Upon the closing notes, Lin leaned back, her hand resuming its position on her chin.

“ Yer songs never get old, pumpkin. I should take ya ta castle town an’ show all ‘em people how amazing ya are. ”

— ✿       This was considerably harder than reading. By far– why did she agree to this ?? Lin huffed, listening to the foreign words come from the Twilight’s mouth. Far harder than Hyrulean thats for sure. 

“ … Nope, say it again ?? I literally can’t pronounce this stuff. ” The heroine crossed her arms before her, eyes narrowing.

it was the kids -  who had screamed ‘monster!!” and ran off the minute he had approached them ,  leaving lucky to fend against some unknown horror all by himself .  it’s not as if he understood they might have been referring to him of all things ,  who now shivers in his wraps like a black and white leaf as he tries to hide behind a bush ,  jumping the minute stranger calls to him .

‘ shhhhh !! ‘  paw shifts up in front of wrapped muzzle and accompanying the high pitch of his voice is a frightened whine ,  ‘ m-miss ,  get down !  more downer !!  come here !  there’s ‘sposed to be somethin’ scary around ,  rrr-owch ! ‘  oh ,  but she’s tall -  like most humans were ,  -  and so maybe she had to be able to see it .  

‘ …  d-do you see anything out there ??  is it gone ?! ‘

— ✿       It can speak ?? Sure she was used to animals speaking in her wolf form but ... Never as a person. Was this just becoming one of the many things to slip into her Hylian DNA ?? Better not be. 

Lin, as per his hushed and panicked requested, got downer to the ground, her hands against the dirt. What in Hylia was he talking about ... ?? Cyan eyes searched for a thing to be truly terrified of-- something scary ... Oh. 

The kids must’ve called him scary, then ?? 

Linny suddenly smiled, crawling a bit closer to the pup. Silly thing, must’ve thought there really was a monster around. 

“ Nope, ain’t nothin’ scary here. Did those kids say there was ?? I think maybe ya might’a gave them a bit of a freight. Yer all wrapped up, pumpkin. ” The girl giggled, reaching her hand out to him. Don’t dogs normally need to sniff a person to grow accustomed to them ?? Then again this dog was on two legs and talking. 

... Nah, not weird at all.

There’s a long moment of silence. Was this woman really defending a spider? The audacity! The sheer audacity of this woman to defend that wretched creature to his face!

She did make a good point about the bugs though. However, he takes several steps back– clearly very perturbed by the mere presence of the spider.

   “Fine, whatever, just move it away from my precious banana tree. I haven’t been able to weed that spot for two days because that ugly little thing made it’s home right in one of my iris patches! Do you know how frustrating that is!?”

— ✿       This man was so obviously unsettled by such a small little critter-- it wasn’t the size of his head , or anything, nor the size of a Skulltula ... So what was there to be afraid of. Linny swiftly looked from the small spider to the disturbed man, smiling a bit.

“ I’ll put ‘em where he can’t bother ya, promise. But, ” She began, finding a safe yet very out of the way home for the petite arachnid. “ I’ve had that problem before. But it wasn’t ‘cuz I was scared of ‘em ‘er nothin’, I jus’ felt bad movin’ em. But then I found they ain’t mind too much. He was jus’ protectin’ ‘em, ya know ?? ” Linkel faces the stranger with a silly grin.

“ Despite the weeds, yer flowers ain’t look chomped on, an’ that’s ‘cause of that lil guy !! I reckon he did a great job-- I also reckon they’re the prettiest iris I’ve ever seen -- This whole garden is yers ... ?? ” Linny questions, suddenly getting a better look at the flowers -- right, the reason she was here at all was to look at them.

After all, she gardened too !!
