âMy clothes? What in the world for?â Dean asked with a knit brow.
What Are the Chances? || Bree & Dean
âJust checkinâ. Canât be too careful.â Dean chuckled, though the smile disappeared again. Rough life; did he really want to share it with her? Would that even be fair?
At the question though, he shook his head. âNah, nothinâ so extravagant. Just huntinâ. Go from place to place, gankinâ monsters.â Dean sighed. Ouch, that actually really sucked, as descriptions went. At least she didnât think he was totally crazy though, that was something. âIâve got myself quite a record on your side though. Check âDean Winchesterâ sometime, itâs great.â he said drily, thinking about all the crap that came from the job. Shifters especially.
Bree clicked her tongue against the roof of her mouth and couldnât help but smile. âIâm pretty sure my captain would kick my ass for talking to you like this if your background check is gonna be as bad as you make it soundâ, she admitted, pushing her hair to the side. âDo you like travelling around like that? I mean, havenât you ever thought about staying in one place for good?â, she asked, tilting her head to the side.
It wasnât until now that she noticed the ring that was on his finger. Oh shit. Before she could close her big mouth, the next question managed to just sneak itâs way out of her mouth. âAre you married?â, she asked before pressing her lips together and furrowing her eyebrows. âIâm⊠Iâm sorry. I just saw the ring and I couldnât helpâŠ.â, she whispered, feeling kinda stupid for asking.
"Best not tell him, then." Dean smiled back. She was sure easy to talk to, especially for a cop. And a cop who was stuck with him because of a ghost, no less. "Travellin's okay, pay sucks."
Her last two questions caught him by surprise though, and the hunter took a second to pull himself together for a reply. "Not married. But yeah, a couple times I've tried it." the Winchester answered quietly, absently spinning the ring on his finger. "Didn't work out. The ring's just got sentimental value to me. I wear on my right hand though, unless I'm undercover as a married man for whatever reason." It was weird, admitting that out loud. Especially to this chick he hadn't known for more than what, an hour? This was ridiculous. He wasn't some sap in a chick flick.
"Take it you're not married, huh?" he noted, gesturing at her own ringless left hand.

Too much... *He propped himself up on his elbows, his eyes traveling along his brother's body as he oh so slowly approached their bed* Tease... *Sammy breathed out before plopping down once more, shifting his weight to be more comfortable* Please, De... Need you so bad. Waited so long. I just... I need you, please...

"Damn right." Dean chuckled, smoothly kicking off his boots and pulling his shirt off as he slid onto the bed. Now they were equally undressed.
"What do you need me for, Sam?" he teased, slowly letting his frame drop over his brother's, straddling Sam's waist.
+hewasneverthereialwayswas
Dean was sitting quietly, motionlessly underneath the covers, blankets up to his chin. He was trying really hard not to flinch at every stupid roll of thunder or flash of lightning. He had to pretend, Sam was right across the room from him.
He blinked when the lamp was suddenly clicked on, squinting at his brother a little. âYeah, Sammy?â he replied quietly, still snug where he was.
Sam shifted to where he was leaning on his elbows and looking over at Dean. âUh,â He cleared his throat, feeling a bit awkward. He hadnât talked about his nightmares since he was a kid. He felt childish about asking Dean to comfort him, but he needed it.
Looking down at his hands, he tried to think of something to say. He was trying to ignore the feeling that he was being childish, but soon it was too obnoxious to forget. âNevermind.â He mumbled.
His brother looking that uncomfortable was enough to make Dean shove down his own panic. After a moment of untangling from the sheets, he was sitting up, doing his absolute best to pretend the storm raging outside wasn't bothering him.
"Sam, what is it?" Dean repeated, worried something big was going on. A particularly loud clap of thunder was enough to finally crack him, and the elder was unable to remain completely still.

âThereâre probably some snack foods in there. Can guarantee itâs not super-healthy crap though.â he chuckled, glancing at the way her hair fell down. Woah, back off. Job first, then leave the building. Then flirt.
It was still kind of weird to him though; this was almost calmer than he and Sam were on hunts. Although, it was kind of like being stuck in a tiny social circle, in a way.
âOn or off the record?â Dean smiled, noticing her glance this time but not saying anything about it. Before he went spilling any more secrets, he needed to know what would go in her report later. He was not about to incriminate himself.
A laugh escaped her throat and shaking her head just came naturally. âSweetheart, the only thing thatâs going in my report about this house is that I made contact with some punks who were playing around and then left to go home.â, Bree told him, smiling lightly. âIf you manage to keep us alive tonight, the last thing I would wanna do is throw you in jail. What kinda thanks would that be? Iâm a pretty cool copâ, she told him, playfully popping her collar up.
âSo lemme guessâŠ. youâve either killed 90 people and Iâm your next victim or youâre really a drug smuggler from Mexico and this house was your ideal hiding spot for your dope?â, Bree winked, running her tongue along her lower lip. Dean was different from most of the filthy rich or surfer dudes that she was used to. He had a rather rugged yet sexy look to him and that leather jacket of his just played it off perfectly.
"Just checkin'. Can't be too careful." Dean chuckled, though the smile disappeared again. Rough life; did he really want to share it with her? Would that even be fair?
At the question though, he shook his head. "Nah, nothin' so extravagant. Just huntin'. Go from place to place, gankin' monsters." Dean sighed. Ouch, that actually really sucked, as descriptions went. Check 'Dean Winchester' sometime, it's great." he said drily, thinking about all the crap that came from the job. Shifters especially.
*The younger Winchester's eyes glazed over with lust as he read the Texts, slowly peeling off his shirt. It had been a whole week since he wanted this and now, he sure WILL have it now. There was no way he was waiting any longer* Dean? *He called out, laying down on the bed, crossing his legs* Dean~?
Opening the door a little more hurriedly than he really meant to, grinning at seeing his brother waiting for him. Good, Sam had listened.
âHiya, Sammy. How muchâve ya missed me?â Dean asked, sliding his jacket off to set on the desk, taking his time in approaching the bed.
What Are the Chances? || Bree & Dean
Dean listened quietly, more than just a little understanding of what she meant by her words. If he could just pretend nothing had happened in his life? He would take it in a heart beat, get away from it all and take some low-key occupation.
âWell, if I stumble across the creep, Iâll take care of âim for ya.â the hunter promised, rubbing her shoulder slightly before removing his hand. It may be stupid, but the Winchester was actually a softie on the inside. Especially when it came to people who had suffered from some paranormal entity or other. âUntil then, might as well make ourselves comfortable here.â he sighed, sitting on the floor carefully so he wouldnât disturb the salt line.
Bree pressed her lips together and followed his lead by sitting on the floor as well. âGot any board games in that magic bag of yours? Or maybe some food?â, she smirked, pulling the elastic out of her hair so it could fall down over her shoulders. âI was supposed to go on dinner break after scaring away those kidsâ, Bree told him, biting on her lower lip as she looked around the living room that they were currently stuck in.
The officer was well aware that any other person, let alone a woman, would be freaking out and running all over the house to get the hell outta there but Bree had always been interested in supernatural beings. If there was one thing she knew, it was that you didnât want to disturb or anger whatever spirits were lurking around. âBut reallyâŠ. you should tell me a little about you if weâre gonna be stranded here together for the next 6 hoursâ, she smirked, letting her eyes linger over his body. There was a rule about not flirting on the job but⊠checking someone out wasnât really considered flirting, was it?
"There're probably some snack foods in there. Can guarantee it's not super-healthy crap though." he chuckled, glancing at the way her hair fell down. Woah, back off. Job first, then leave the building. Then flirt.

*Sam grinned mischieviously on his side of the screen, his tail twitching pleasantly behind him. He was still fully clothed and restrained himself from touching any part of his body* [Text]: Every minute away from you is horrible, De. [Text]: Need you inside me. [Text]: Do I have to beg? I can beg for you, if you want...
Dean ignored the phone buzzing until after he was parked outside the room. Good thing too, or the messages probably would have ended with him in a ditch.

[text] best be on the bed when I open that door
He slipped the phone into his pocket with his keys, taking slow enough steps for Sam to get the text before he came in.

It was a restless night for Sam. Memories of the nightmare appeared every time he closed his eyes. The booming thunder wasnât helping either. It just reminded him of what he was trying to get away from.
Looking over, he noticed Dean was up too. Rubbing his eyes, he turned on the light and looked over at him. âDean?â
Dean was sitting quietly, motionlessly underneath the covers, blankets up to his chin. He was trying really hard not to flinch at every stupid roll of thunder or flash of lightning. He had to pretend, Sam was right across the room from him.

[text] freaking five more minutes Sammy
It was kind of like the first fight the two of them had had, except now it was passion radiating between them. He still didnât have a clue how it worked, or why it did, but right now? Dean didnât care even a little bit.
Not until she tugged on his hair to separate them, anyway.
âUhâŠdonâtâŠdonât knowâŠâ the Winchester admitted in a breath, not moving to set her down, but not closing the distance between them.
The passion radiating between them struck her hard. She didnât understand. But then, there was a fine line between anger and passion. Sometimes, the two even went hand in hand.
She wasnât sure what to do. She was definitely ready to close the space between them, continue what had just been started. Instead, she quickly disentangled herself from him, shaking her head. She looked to him, opening her mouth to speak, and then quickly closed it, shoving him just a bit further away and then vanishing from the room completely.Â
She looked ready to say something else, to maybe do what he was thinking. But instead he was being pushed back, and he consequently let her down onto her feet again as they disentangled.
"P-Payton, wait-" he said before she vanished.
"Damn it!" he cursed, kicking the wall like that would help. The Winchester hated not being able to chase after her. And he felt crazy for wanting to.

Dean hates thunderstorms. With a passion.
He doesn't mind the rain or wind.
But the lightning? He hates that something might catch and there'll be a fire. The association between thunder and lightning just sort of ruined any calmness he might have during the storms. He tries to keep in, but when he's alone...
[Text]: Yes. ;) [Text]: Don't take too long or I might need to bring up ''Benny''

Your muse catches mine in the shower. What is your muse's reaction?
âWell thank you for not shooting me. It was fun. Thanks for letting me sit in your lap, too,â She grinned almost teasingly, âMaybe we can do it again sometime.âÂ
âThatâs hilarious. Really.â Dean rolled his eyes. He had a feeling it would end just a little differently if they did the same thing again. After the last time they were in close proximityâŠnope, gonna stop right there. âHow about never again?â
âBut it was so much fun,â She chuckled, raising a brow at him. She felt his almost awkwardness and couldnât help but raise a brow, âAre you uncomfortable?âÂ
"Yes, I am." he snapped. "Happy? Because I'm sure as hell not." Dean scowled. He didn't see how this was funny.
Jo couldn't help but chuckle softly, "Why you? Because Dean, you were the last thing on my mind when I died. I- it's always you."
He was the last thingâŠ
âJoâŠI donât-â he said quietly, not understanding why she would want to think about him at all. It was his fault she died in the first place. âCâmere.â he muttered, hugging her again. Dean wasnât good with words; never really had been.
