Team No Place in Hell [CA Event: AΓIADNE]
The floor disappearing was not expected. But it was also nor fearful. While Tibarn did take to the ground at times, as was the case now, he spent most of his time in the air. So with a flap of his wings, he avoided the pitfall.
Despite his attempts to fly, he was sucked into the darkness, seemingly along with others on the street around him. His consciousness did not waver in the slightest, or at least he did not think it did. Yet suddenly the dragging sensation stopped, but since he had been fighting it, he unfortunately slammed himself into the ceiling of the area with intense force, thus causing him to fall back towards the ground.
The ‘room’ was a dank hallway with water dripping from the ceiling. There was moss growing on the sides and ground. It was nothing like the caves separating Begnion from the Laguz countries, much to Tibarn’s benefit. The dampness of this was much preferred to the volcanic heat of those. But it was dark, and though his eyesight was incredible by human standards, the Bird tribes did not have the night sight of the Beast tribes. His sense of small and hearing however, were quite potent in an enclosed area.
Looking to his side he saw another had fallen in the place he had. The armor was a clear indication this person was a knight. His armor did not look anything like those of Tellius, but it still reeked of the material Beorc would use. The one under it however had a scent that was different from Beorc…
Before he could continue his thoughts, the voice echoed in the area. Or was it in his head? He couldn’t tell, but he knew it was for all to hear.
“aΓiadne’s thread will lead you from the labyrinth, though not you alone”
“your lives are -linked-”
"fight your way to the “core” and the answers you seek will be revealed”
As this was said, a mark appeared on Tibarn. It was reminiscent of those of the Branded, or of those who make a contract with a spirit. The thread seemed to shimmer before becoming invisible, though Tibarn was not stupid enough to think it was gone for good. But the words that were said by the mysterious voice interested him….
"I’m not keen on any bastards who try to clip my wings. Whoever did this will have hell to pay when I get my hands on them"
"That being said, I’m gonna have some fun with this. I haven’t had a good chance to let loose since coming here. a chance to fight with something interesting at the end? Sounds good to me."
Approaching the other person, he slammed his hand into his back in a friendly ‘pat’ (thought it may have been a bit too stong to be considered that’. His laugh echoed through the area.
"Guess it’s a good thing I hit my head before this binding came in huh? Can’t say it felt good. And I wouldn’t want to have to lug your body the whole way out! So, what’s your name guy? You look competent enough, but let’s see how well you can keep up with the King of Hawks. I’ll only be slowing down as much as I have to, so don’t hold me back too much!”
