@hexymidz5
hello i am still alive
maybe i should return here i miss this place
Image by the artist Ohyun Kwon; hat-tip to sea-change for helping me track that down; the internet is curiously unhelpful in providing further context.
I know: this is great. You love it, I love it, everyone loves self-referentiality in the service of, fine, “empowerment," I guess, if you really wanna be like that, although, again, I don’t. It’s a canny move, too – one way to fight accusations of disposability is by using your singles to make explicit your artistic evolution. It says I’m stronger, sure, but it also says I am not redundant.
Again: no one doesn’t love this, no one doesn’t love the chair dance or young Britney’s awesomely dismissive ”whatever“ when confronted with her boyfriend’s sleazy ways. But this line is only the clearest instance of the spirit of reinvention that runs throughout Oops!… I Did It Again – and her entire oeuvre. I want to take a moment, before we go on, to make explicit one of the driving principles behind this week: Britney’s body of work is very much a body of work, one that is perpetually in dialogue with itself as it revisits recurring themes with changing but consistently coherent perspectives. Her albums reflect and engage with her ever-changing position in the public eye, but also with her evolution as an artist, each one in conversation with and building on what came before. It’s not always as explicit as my loneliness ain’t killing me no more, but it’s absolutely always there, if you give Britney enough credit to bother looking.

i have 18k post to sift through so either i delete posts to clean up or delete this account and start new
once again, i miss tumblr but i can't seem to make myself be here as often anymore
i'm planning to start to write my feelings again but i'm so so lazy these days
either lazy so immensely unmotivated
everyday i wake up and i go “god i’m so tired. i can’t do this anymore.” and then i get up and i continue to do it
i haven't been here in forever and suddenly i miss it
SO I am planning to create some Heartstopper t-shirts/sweatshirts/hoodies... is there anything in particular from the comic (not the show!) you would love to see on a t-shirt/sweatshirt/hoodie? Wanna make sure these are things you guys would actually like!!
i'd personally love to have the falling leaves printed on a hoodie
although it's going to be expensive for me (living in malaysia) but it would be nice to see
