Shortly into the book, while arguing a case in court, Julian collapses from a heart attack and nearly loses his life at the ripe age of fifty-three years old. […]

It didn't start with a hello -- °° I had you at my waving hands & it was funnier how you waved back. Perhaps, despite the diverse time zones, it was the Universe's gravitational force that brought us closer. You did not come with a guitar serenading me with my favorite Beatles song but you instead came - not even with the sweetest words - but with the most stubborn yet unfeigned gesture of concern. Had you been a girl, as I said, you'd really be a bitchy one. You cracked open a fragile part of me that have long refused to be free. But pardon, for I cannot fully wear my heart on my sleeve, it is somehow guarded. I at least mustered my courage to see your nakedness - in thoughts and in spirit - and was left amazed, by how lovely this soul I am close with now. A lot of memories transpired in this ephemeral course of time & though fleeting & of no assurance, I would still wish to find you always, in the corner of my mind & whisper incessantly, "Thanks for stopping by" I hope it wouldn't end with a goodbye ~
