Not only did he live through apartheid, his very existence was considered a crime during apartheid (he’s half black, half white). He couldn’t play outside because you could tell from his features he was mixed. He’s lived through some tough shit at a young age, and has dealt with plenty of racism even after moving to the US. The fact he was calm through this entire interview with a woman who has compared BLM to the KKK is impressive as hell and I give this man a fuckton of credit and my eternal respect.

But isn’t BLM like the KKK? I’m being serious here, alot of the things BLM has done are similar to what the KKK has done and vice versa, although the details are obviously different I don’t see why that’s an inaccurate comparison.

BLM: peacefully protest in the street, report on black ppl killed by the police via social media, have a few ppl who are extremists and do not represent the entire movement

KKK: lynch black people on a massive scale, burn crosses, further white supremacy via hate crimes their values and handbook is literally based on extremist views, and they are the true definition an extremist organization
