It must be such a wild experience to be a celebrity in the Age of Tumblr. I was famous, I would hate being shipped with a real live human I work with or am friends with.

But then again, I think about the fact that shipping is really very adorable. The thought of people being excited to the point of scrutinizing two people’s every public interaction is sweet. I like that people look for love within each other. I like that people want their heroes to be treasured and adored and swept away in romance, even when it’s not realistic.

Do I think it’s healthy? Sometimes no. Some people take it way too far.

But candy isn’t healthy either and you better believe I have a stash of it in my kitchen. A little nibble here and there isn’t so bad.

How very depressing that Neil Gaiman had trended not even a tiny bit for demonstrating what a fucking horrific person he is.

As a reminder, he's suing Caroline Wallner, one of his accusers, for breaking her NDA. Not for libel. He's saying she shouldn't have told anyone about it, not that she lied.

The author says Wallner broke her NDA by sharing her story with the media, including with New York Magazine.

He doesn't need the money. He's risking the Streisand effect. He is punishing Caroline, he's trying to intimidate other victims who have signed NDAs to scare them into continued silence.

He is no friend to women, to the LGBTQIA+ community, to anyone quite frankly unless he thinks they are of value to him.

Share the story. Put it on Facebook and bluesky and whatever else you're on. Make it clear what a horrifying person he is. Tell your friends. He's paying Edendale a fortune to try and cover this up. Make this hard for him. Make it cost him money.

like… is he dumb?? It’s like he’s the king, so desperate to put Humpty Dumpty back together again that he’s started asking the fucking horses to give it a shot (here Humpty Dumpty refers to Neil’s obliterated reputation, obviously). Sick and stupid moves like this prove he is unable to accept any responsibility for his actions. Fuck him, fuck his ex-wife and her shitty music, and fuck whatever lawyer decided to take him on as a client.

Ps, I would pay for a book jacket that omits his name to put on my copy of Good Omens. Just putting that out there in case any entrepreneur wants to create that. I heard Terry was the real soul of the book anyway.

I think it’s sad humans decided ghosts are responsible for all the creepy stuff out there and none of the good stuff. I think if ghosts exist, they’re probably making your favorite song come on shuffle or grabbing your attention right in time to catch a glimpse of a bunny scampering into a bush. Instead of exposing you to uncanny or odd things so you feel unwelcome, maybe ghosts summon hummingbirds when you’re outside to show you that you’re wanted there. Maybe they know how to make your cat do something cute when you’re having a bad day. I don’t know, it’s just that I’ve met a lot of people out there and I think very few of them would like scaring people. But a lot of them like cute cats.

Imagine you spend your whole life, wishing you could go to the beach and see a dolphin in the waves. then you die, and you haunt the beach by summoning dolphins to the waveline. Because you want that dream to come true for someone else. Yeah. That’s what I think ghosts are.

Re: Good Omens. I’m really angry for the way this has crumbled.

However.

There is a part of me that is very relieved for David Tennant, because if I found out that someone I trusted and believed was a friend was dangling my location and hotel information like a carrot so they could fuck somebody, I would never want to speak to them again. And that’s before the allegations of assault come into play.

Who knows how many times Neil offered up the privacy and safety of his famous friends to get laid? We already know he called in favors to famous friends for video calls, but that’s just what we know about. And for him to then sexually assault the women he seduced, encounters he won with the aid of all his shiny connections? I would be so horrified. So devastated. So furious.

And what if that woman took Neil up on it? What if she was crazy enough to show up at David’s hotel? Or what if she tweeted his location to the masses, or sold it to a crazy fan? What if David’s family was also there? What if the woman came armed? Neil didn’t care about what ifs.

I’m sure we’ll never know, but I hope David and Michael refused to return if Neil stayed involved in Good Omens. I hope they would’ve refused even if Neil hadn’t served David up on a silver platter, and I assume they would’ve.

I imagine it took convincing to get the leads back. In fact, if it wasn’t for the fact the fans care so much about their characters, and they care so much about the fans, I’m sure season two would’ve been the end.

In my opinion, getting a season three at all is kind of a miracle. Even if it’s only 90 minutes.
