as a fellow CCer, I wish you guys would stop referring to t/s/g as ‘the strip joint’. It gives haters so much ammunition. I don’t like M or the bar, but I do agree that the way some in the fandom demonise it is crazy. It’s a tongue-in-cheek, trashy place, they exist all over the world. Fair enough if it’s not to your liking, but you sound naive and childish by being offended by it (esp if you’re not offended by h/edwig, for example). I love you guys, but sometime you do yourselves no favours.

Interesting ask, in that you say you’re supportive, and love us, but call me and (fellow CC’rs) naive and childish and then accuse us of demonising M and fuelling the haters. Hmmmm…….To clarify we are not naive or childish, but have a lot of life experience between us as well as holding down professional jobs. Thing is we know when we are being sold a dud and that bar and Mia**en are.
You mention it’s not unlike other bars that are trashy and tongue in cheek. I agree, if I wanted a hen night that might be the type of bar I’d go to, but those bars are not trying to build a business off the back of a closeted actor at the expense of his acting/music reputation, so excuse me if I sound annoyed occasionally that the cocktails have names that lack any wit. C’mon anon - tug and blow, really!!
Please don’t compare Hed/wig. When you see that show and you know what you are in for. You know it will be loud, dramatic, raucous, sexy and with a stack of double entendres. Hed/wig doesn’t to sell itself as something it isn’t. Your know what you are getting and it’s brilliantly tragic. The show doesn’t pretend to be a dis/ney princess one moment and have strippers on the bar at a private party the next. It’s not about being a prude, it’s about a lack of identity for that bar overall.
And you shouldn’t even be surprised by this given the team that are promoting this mess of mixed messages for t/sg are also responsible for the absolute mess they have made regarding D’s racial identity and sexuality.
