I was really excited for a new lore update with Kai’sa coming out, especially since she interacts with Kassadin and Malzahar. Originally.

Now there’s no real link between them except from being affiliated to the Void. Correct me if I’m wrong but whilst before it was that Kassadin tricks Kass in throwing his daughter into the Void, now he has nothing to do with it (except preaching, as a Prophet would do but no direct influence on them) and what’s more, the new lore for Kass literally went from looking into the horrors of the Void, gaining power but chooses to fight it instead to stealing a forbidden weapon to fight the Void.

I like the history update on Icathia, but the characters? Meh.

I have strong feelings on this especially since the concept of the Void was originally inspired by Lovecraft and also Malzahar is one of my favourite champions if not my favourite.
