All eyes on them now, and Jintae wishes that no one will recognize him in some way, and write something about that comedian vj spilled his tea all over the table on his blind date (because he is planning to write this down on the next book project). It is a good thing that the barista come to him and gives him tissues and those i’m-sorry-for-you kind of smile on him. Instead of panicking, Jintae laughs. That kind of laugh you do when you find something funny, that kind of laugh where you’re somewhat embarrassed from something you do. He just genuinely laughs. “Yeah -- I’m alright, I’m sorry.” he says, wiping his pants dry. It’s a good thing that the tea isn’t that hot but it will get sticky inside for sure. “I guess I get a little bit nervous.” he laughs once again. “I mean I will never know what kind of a weirdo my friend set me up with, and I might meet.” he smiles when finishes drying up his pants. He looks up on her, and it’s like his senses slaps him on his face -- he shouldn’t say things like that. “B-But you look pretty normal, so -- ” he quickly adds and give her one apologetic look.
All the weirdness, tension and awkwardness washes away when she suggest to go on for a walk. Thank Goodness’, yes, walk is better than to have sit and stuck in a cafe -- maybe that’s what he need right now. A good amount of fresh air to washes away the awkwardness within him, and to be relax for a while. Once he put on his coat, he let Claudia to walk out of the cafe first; the sound of an old door being opened and the sound of the air coming inside the cafe are probably the only thing he could hear right now, like every sound in this room has been drowned out by those sounds only.
“Actually..” he says, breaking the ice that is slowly forming between them. “you look way better than normal.”
He takes a good amount of fresh air outside the cafe, before smiling as he sees the blue sky up there and to see claudia’s beautiful features. Shoving his now cold hands onto the pocket, he says. “Actually..” he says, breaking the ice that is slowly forming between them. “you look much better than normal.” he laughs somewhat nervously, like he has been committing a sin. There’s one thing Jintae doesn’t understand why he is so curious about her, and why he keep on stealing shy glance at her that he sometimes only have a courage to see her by the reflection from the windows. It’s like he has no other choice. It’s not his fault that he get set up with such beauty (maybe the prettiest so far). It’s not his fault that she had eyes the color of black coffee, and skin the color of snow, and hair the color of earth that it is hard to not to look at her. It’s not his fault that her eyes is so hypnotizing, that the way she look at him in the cafe and then look at people walking around hongdae, like she is writing a poem about them in her head.
Jintae knows that he isn’t suppose to stare on her like this right now. It’s creepy and maybe she feel uncomfortable with it. He isn’t trying to be creepy tho, it is just -- “So, uh -- I guess we’re just suppose to tell each other life stories or-- ?”
