World War Two
World War two was the war between the Axis, comprising of Germany, Italy, and Japan, and the Allies, comprising of Russia, USA, and Britain. The Axis were dominating at first but the tides changed when Japan made the mistake of bombing the strong USA. Also, the Germans made the Napoleonian mistake of invading Russia considering the absence of heat in the area.

To Hitler, the Jews were a threat to German racial purity and community. He, together with his associates, persecuted the Jews by enacting discriminstory legislation, forcing them to work for them and burning their synagogues. Eventually, these racial theories led toward Hitler’s ‘Final Solution’ of genocide- the Holocaust. In the final days of the war, Hitler married Eva Braun and the two committed suicide. Today, it is speculated that there is a huge possibility that Braun had Jewish ancestry because of the DNA analysis of her hair samples.

The reason why this meme has Elsa with the iconic Hitler mustache is because she represents Hitler. Difference being is that Hitler (and his army) was bothered by the cold for they were not prepared for the Russian winter. Lassen Sie Es Gehen is a german translation of the sentence "let it go".

Hitler and Stalin both had a secret goal as to why they signed and agreed with the pact hence the message in the meme “Entered a Non-Aggression Pact to be more aggressive”. For Hitler, the pact enabled him to first guarantee his invasion of Poland and the rest of Western Europe without having to worry about the East. For Stalin, on the other hand, it allowed him to build back up the armed forces he lost in the past years and to expand the Soviet Union territory.

Rise of The Third Reich
After the first World War, Germany was poorer than dirt; hence, they were in need of a leader to bring back the land to its former glory; hence, the rise of the empire of the one-ball wonder, the Fuhrer, Adolf Hitler.

Adolf Hitler used to be unpopular in school as he stopped trying to excel, preferring instead to re-enact battles. He also never finished formal education, but despite this, Hitler grew in favour of the people upon joining the Nazi party, called then the German Worker's Party. However, he didn't intend to join the party. In fact, he was sent there to spy on them for the army then found he agreed with the ideas being presented and even debated with someone who disagreed. His charm and skill in rhetoric won over many supporters during that debate and the succeeding speeches he would then give. Soon, Hitler very quickly gained popularity and respect, acquiring the role as leader of the Nazis then chancellor, by public demand.

World War One
World War One was “the Great War” and “the war to end all wars”. (Quotation marks to be taken for sarcasm.) The goals of extreme nationalist groups brought conflicts between peoples and states, leading to a build-up of military forces and a system of defensive alliances among European nations. After which, the League of Nations who “prevented war” was established.

My meme talks about how in trench warfare, you were supposed to be safe from hostile fire and incoming attacks, however, this was not the case. The trenches actually had bad sanitary conditions and more often than not, soldiers get wounded in war. As a result of these bad sanitary conditions, soldiers would often get infected and would then suffer from gangrene and other infections. This would lead to sickness and suffering for long periods of time in the trenches.

German Nationalism
Otto von Bismarck steered a strong, nationalistic Prussian state towards the dominance of a unified Germany. He utilized real politik and made the opponents declare war against them causing the German confederation to be backed-up by the strong Prussia.

The Austro-Prussian war was one of the best representations of how dominant Prussia was under Otto Von Bismarck's leadership. The war lasted for seven weeks, and was relatively fast during that time, also considering that Austria was still one of the more powerful empires. This dominance was a result of both the military advantages of Prussia, but more especially because of the pre-war strategies that Bismarck had. He would find ways to become stronger and form alliances, or to weaken the enemy, and force them to fight into the Prussians, all these allowing them to gain an advantage over their opponents.

Otto Von Bismarck was best known for his implementation of realpolitik. In his attempt to get more power, he devised a plan to sabotage a telegram to make it sound like the countries were insulting each other. This was called the Ems Telegram. He manipulated it by himself so that war would be declared by France, thus "otto correct”.

Italian Nationalism
The Congress of Vienna divided Italy into many small kingdoms, states, and duchies. Camillo do Cavour used shrewd political moves and strategic wars to unify Italy, with the important help from the colorful leader Giuseppe Garibaldi.

In Giuseppe Mazzini’s early life, he saw himself as wanting to be a dramatist, but little did he know he was about to make a big difference in Italy and that he was going to be the “Patron Saint of Unification”. He has been considered to play a big role in what modern day Italy is today.

Camillo Benson di Cavour played a significant role in unifying and creating the new Kingdom of Italy. A charismatic man, he was able to win the support of Austria’s greatest rivals – Napoleon III’s France and then later on Bismarck’s Prussia. With their help, Camillo was able to takeover territories in northern and central Italy. He was also able win the cooperation Giuseppe Garibaldi, the famous isurgent leader in the South of Italy. Camillo completed the unification of Italy when the French troop that was guarding the Pope in Rome withdrew because of the defeat of Napoleon III against Prussia; he sent his troops to Rome and he was able to annex it.
