((Hi! I was wondering if you don't mind trimming our threads because I'm on mobile and it won't let me, I can't see your responses to the threads. I hope that's okay with you!))
///Oh! I am on Mobil as well at the moment xP But when I log into my laptop tomorrow, I will cut it!///

Chick opened the door and his eyes widen in shock to see Dory standing in front of him, soaking wet from the rain. âDory, this is- umâŚâ Chick cleared his throat and he slightly frowned, grabbing her wrist and pulling her inside. âIt wonât be so gentleman like if I just left you out there.âÂ
Dory chuckled and shivered a bit, âI went to go for a swim but then it just began pouring! I got lost because I couldnât see through the rain and I recognized your name on the mailbox!â Doryâs teeth clattered, âIâm surprised that I remembered your name, though.â Dory chuckled again, warming up slightly.
"I was about to ask you how you remembered my name." Chick walked over to a closet and slid it open, pulling out a towel. "I got to say, I was not expecting this." He closed the closet with his feet and tossed the towel to Dory. "Oh, and donât mention any of this to anybody."
"Why shouldnât I? Well, who would I tell in the first place?" Dory asked curiously as she dried herself off.
"I donât want anybody knowing that IâŚ" Chick paused and looked down at the floor. "Well, never mind." He looked up at her and offered her to sit on the couch. "You can sit down once you finish drying yourself off. Get comfortable."Â
Dory continued to look at him in curiosity, âYou can tell me.â Dory smiled reassuringly as she sat down, folding the towel in her lap.
Chick slowly sat down next to her and leaned forward, his elbow resting on his knees. âItâs nothing. Nothing important to worry about, Dory.â
"Are you sure?" She nudged him gently with her elbow, "you donât have to if youâre uncomfortable, but I probably will forget anyway if you told me." Dory shrugged simply.
Chick smirked and looked at her. âAlright. I just donât want anybody else to know that Mr. Hicks has a soft side. And I have NEVER treated somebody like this before so specify yourself asâŚspecial.â He grabbed the towel that was folded neatly on her lap. âBut remember, donât tell anyone about this.â He added, pointing at her with the towel.
Dory laughed hard for a while before taking some breaths to calm herself down, âWhy are you afraid of that? Itâs okay if you have a soft side! It would make you more popular.â Dory raised an inquiring brow, âAre all famous people like this?â She chuckled.
"You can say that. I mean, with people constantly taking pictures of you and recording you secretly, it can be annoying. I try to maintain a certain profile when I go out in public." Chick leaned against the couch and placed one arm behind his head.
"All you have to do is be yourself. You donât have to be something that you arenât." Dory looked around his living area with her eyes, "Iâm not exactly sure how you are with the public, Iâm getting to know you on a personal level." Dory then looked at him suddenly, "Would that make you, MY biggest fan? I know you wouldnât do this to any random stranger, right?" A grin spread across her face.
"Donât get too ahead of yourself, Dory." Chick said, squinting his eyes at her. "Now, I just felt bad to leave you alone out there in the cold rain and I didnât want to be mean." He ruffled up her wet hair with the towel. "And you seemed pretty helpless."
"Iâm not completely helpless, just forgetful is all." Dory chuckled, "you should try it though, go save a cat in a tree and make some positive headlines." Dory chuckled some more at the thought of Chick trying to convince a cat to come down.
"DoryâŚ" Chick chuckled. "Come on. Getting a cat down from a tree? Really?" He smirked and covered her head with the towel before leaning back against the couch.
Dory pulled off the towel and laughed, âIâm just throwing around ideas!â Dory pondered for a moment for something else that crossed her mind, âMaybe some volunteer work?â She suggested.
"Volunteer work, huh?" Chick crossed his arms over his chest and slowly nodded. "Not bad..." He looked at Dory and chuckled. "Some mind you got."

((Iâm on mobile so sorry that I canât put a gif!))
Dory gasped and stepped back. She gingerly put her fingers to her lips and glared at Chick, âWhat was that? Did you just do what I think you did?â She raised a brow in confusion.
"What? Canât handle a kiss from me?" Chick asked and lowered his gaze, biting his bottom lip.Â
"Well Iâm not exactly used to them." Dory crossed her arms and glanced at Chick.
"Then how about we say about changing that, hmm?" Chick raised an eyebrow and placed his hands on his waist.Â
Dory blinked in wonder and shook her head, âNo, I donât knowâŚâ Dory shrugged her shoulders uncomfortably. âYou seem quite comfortable with thatâŚâ Dory raised her eyebrows.
Chick shrugged his shoulders. âEh, Iâm ladyâs man. Iâm cool around pretty ladies like yourself.â He winked at her with a slight chuckle escaping from his lips.Â
Dory stifled a laughter and then smiled pleasantly, âThank you. Thatâs nice of you.â Dory looked at Chick deeply before beginning again, âHave you had a really special person in your life before?â Dory asked with curiosity.
"UmâŚno. Not really. I canât seem to keep a steady relationship." Chick looked into Doryâs eyes for a moment before asking, "What about you?"
Dory shrugged her shoulders and looked up, âI canât remember if I have or havenât.â She looked back at Chick and half-smiled, âI donât remember if Iâve been in a relationship in total.â
Chick smiled and he tilted his head to the side. âSomething tells me that you probably had lots of guys swooning over you.â
Dory rolled her eyes playfully, âNot really, Iâm too clumsy and forgetful so I just wander about myself. And sometimes thatâs okay.â She said contently.
Chick stayed quiet for a moment, looking at her. He then sighed softly and shook his head. âI find it a bit hard to believe, Dory.â He stepped closer to her and slowly took her hand with his own. âYouâre rare, you know that?â
Dory gasped in lightly as he took her hand, but was instantly relaxed afterward. She tilted her head very slightly and have a small smile, âHow so?â
"You have a great sense of humor, youâre personality is perfect," Chick looked down at their hands as he intertwined his fingers with hers. "And most girls would of left me alone by now."
Dory blushed lightly and looked down at their hands as well, âItâs not nice to leave people if you havenât gotten to know them for who they truly are yet..â Dory said softly.
"Yeah, well, try telling that to those girls then." Chick whispered, showing off his perfect white teeth as he smiled. "Youâre the first one that has been taking their time to know me. Which is surprising."
"Youâre one of the first people to respect meâŚI thinkâŚ" Dory giggled as she rolled her eyes at herself.
"It's a start then." Chick grinned as he raised her hand to his lips and pressed a soft kiss onto her hand.

"UmmâŚ" Dory looked at the drink and then back at Chick, "I donât drink, but Iâm Dory!" DoryâŚ
His smile turned into a slight frown and he raised an eyebrow. âWhat? You never heard of me? Come on!â Chick released her hand and chuckled. âYou got to be joking.âÂ
Dory twisted her lips to the side and looked down, trying to remember. She slowly shook her head and looked back at Chick, âNope! Doesnât ring a bell.â She shrugged, âYou said your name was Rick, right?â She tried to make him feel better.
"NoâŚ" Chick slowly said, looking at her in a confused way. "Itâs Chick. Do you have someâŚmemory problem or somethingâŚ?" He raised his drink to his lips and drank what was left before looking back at her.
Dory sighed and nodded her head, âYeah..you see, I suffer from short term memory loss.â Dory made an embarrassed expression, âSorry that I got your name wrong.â Dory bit her lip nervously.
Chick stared at her for a while before sighing heavily. âI guess I can let it slide.â He took a step closer to her. âDory, right?âÂ
Doryâs eyes widened a bit as he stepped in. She nodded her head quickly, âYup! Youâre right! I see your memory is better than mine!â Dory giggled.
He chuckled and slipped his hands into his pantâs pockets. âYou seem like a fun girl. Are you sure you donât want a small drink? It wonât hurt anyone.âÂ
Dory eyed the drinks around her and shook her head, âNo, Iâm alright. I donât exactly like the tasteâŚâ Dory said uncomfortably.
Chick leaned back with a look of disbelief on his face. âYou donât what?â He looked at Dory up and down before mumbling, âYou must be the first person that I heard saying that.âÂ
"I live off of water." Dory shrugged nonchalantly, "It isnât really healthy to be drinking.." Dory made a distasteful expression. She then looked back at Chick and smiled politely, "So, are you here alone?" Dory asked, cocking her head to the side.
"Yeah, I am." Chick ran a hand through his messy dark hair. "I was hoping for somebody to show up," He leaned against the edge of the table, grabbing the wine bottle that was behind him. "And then you came along."Â
Dory smiled, âSo, you said you were a racer? Right?â Dory furrowed her eyebrows at Chick, âYou donât look like the racer type to meâŚyou look more like a swimmerâŚâ Dory nodded thoughtfully.
"A swimmer, huh?" Chick thought for a second, his hands playing with the wine bottle. "Nobody actually told me that before. Is it because of my well built body?" He asked, smiling at her.Â
"Well itâs actually because IM a swimmer, and I can see the inner fish in people." Dory chuckled.
"Well, I have not touched water for a while. Only place Iâve been on was the racetrack." Chick opened the bottle and poured himself some wine. "I got no inner fish in me, sweetheart." He set the bottle down and grabbed his glass of wine he prepared for himself. "I suppose you spend most of your time swimming in a pool or at the beach?"
"Definitly! Iâm from Australia, actually! Or around that region.." Dory tried to recall, "But I just always remember going to the beach as a kid..that is one of the few things I remember from my childhood.." Dory smiled to herself at the thought, "I guess you were that little boy that was obsessed with racing cars I guess?" She teased.
Chick chuckled at her remark. âYeah. I would always ask my dad to take me to races.â He stared off as memories came to his mind. âI remember always getting speeding tickets when I got my first car. I was never allowed to get behind the wheel again until I was a matured adult.â
"I was stung by a jellyfish, got stung so hard I kinda passed out." Dory pointed to the slightly faded sting mark on her arm. "Iâd worry everyone because I would go so far and swim so fastâŚI guess I am like a racer like you, except in the water." Dory giggled softly.
Chick winced at the sight of her fading scar. "Ouch. That must of been painful." He glanced back at her and raised an eyebrow. "Say, you got to show me your skills in water sometime. I would like that."

"Yeah. I would always ask my dad to take me to races." He stared off as memories came to his mind. "I remember always getting speeding tickets when I got my first car. I was never allowed to get behind the wheel again until I was a matured adult."

"It's nothing. Nothing important to worry about, Dory."
"It would be nice to share a couple of drinks with someone tonight." Chick glanced up as he took a quick sip of his drink. "Want one?"
