"I did not expect that" (Rizzoli & Isles, 5x12)

In a recent article, Jan Nash was asked about the summer finale and said that “we really wanted to do something that would encourage our audience to be excited about coming back and leave them saying ‘Oh, my goodness, I did not expect that.’”

Well, if this were baseball, Nash would be batting .500 and be declared a winner. But this isn’t baseball, and there are no winners here.

Yes, I did not expect that, but no, I am not excited about coming back. Not at all.
