🌿❀ Welcome to the Hidden Garden of the Omegaverse ❀🌿
Hello & welcome!
My name is Dr. Kai, and I’ve been a passionate researcher of the A/B/O dynamic (the Omegaverse) for over six years—and counting.
I noticed how scattered or confusing Omegaverse information can be across different blogs. So, I decided to open up my own little “hidden garden”—a place where everything is gathered, explained, and expanded in one spot.
This is my AU guide, written with care, detail, and a dash of fun. Here you’ll find organized notes, explanations, and explorations on how I see the Omegaverse working.
Feel free to explore, learn, and ask questions—I’ll be more than happy to answer! 🩺✨

Omega Pups & Alpha Pups: A Natural Dance of Curiosity and Instinct
With bonus scenarios!
From the earliest days of their lives, Omega pups and Alpha pups display a natural magnetism toward each other, often mirroring the dynamic they’ll carry into adulthood—but in the most innocent, endearing ways.
Omega pups tend to be gentler and more emotionally in-tune, often seen comforting their littermates or snuggling close to their caretakers. They’re usually the first to offer a toy, a nuzzle, or a curious nose boop. Their world is tactile and emotional—they sense moods easily and react with nurturing tendencies, even as toddlers.
Alpha pups, on the other hand, are bold and exploratory. They tend to pounce first, ask questions later. While not aggressive, they are noticeably more assertive in group play, often taking the lead in games or trying to “guard” the others—even if that means standing proudly in front of a sandbox or barking at a passing shadow.

WHERE DID YOU GUYS COME FROM?! Why so many followers?! Yall still reposting and liking?!
I took a small brake from posting as I was working day and night to post two post per day. I kinda crashed out between that and my IRL “Adulting” things.
I was kinda going to disappear after I pour out all my ideas but the I was touched (not like that) by enlightenment and I said “no!” I will not let this Bulllshit win. Aka my depression and procrastination
I will be in my office cooking up prescriptions for you lovely people

🐾 Sounds Pups Make In the Womb & After Birth
Pups are highly vocal creatures, even before birth. Their sounds help communicate their needs, emotions, and bond with their Omega parent and pack members.
⸻
🔸 Sounds Pups Make in the Womb (Pre-Birth)
Even before birth, pups can vocalize faintly, though the sounds are mostly muffled and soft. These noises become more distinct as they grow inside the womb.
1. Whimpering & Soft Chirps
•Pups emit tiny whimpers and high-pitched chirps when they shift or react to external stimuli.
•If the Omega rubs their belly, the pups may respond with a soft, content hum.
2. Heartbeat Echoing
•Inside the womb, the pups’ tiny heartbeats sync with their Omega parent, creating a rhythmic thrum-like vibration.
•The Omega might feel the vibrations but won’t hear them as clearly.
3. Scent-Induced Reactions (Muffled Growls or Yips)
•Pups respond to strong Alpha or Beta scents, emitting tiny, muffled growls or yips.
•This is their instinct reacting to pheromones, especially if an Alpha mate is nearby.
4. Gentle Kicks & Shifting (Accompanied by Faint Whines)
•As pups grow stronger, their kicks come with small vibrations, often accompanied by faint whimpers.
•They may move closer to warmth if an Alpha or Beta lays a hand on the Omega’s belly.
🔹 Sounds Pups Make After Birth (Newborn to Toddler Stage)
Once born, pups are extremely vocal, using a variety of sounds to communicate. These sounds evolve as they grow.
1. Newborn Sounds (0-3 Months)
•Soft Whines & Squeaks – Expresses hunger, discomfort, or a need for warmth.
•Faint Hiccups & Gurgles – Normal bodily functions as they adjust to breathing and feeding.
•Mewling & Small Peeping Noises – Expresses contentment when held or nursed.
•Scent Response Coos – Tiny sounds when they recognize their Omega parent’s scent.
2. Early Pup Sounds (3-6 Months)
•Happy Yips & Chirps – When excited or playful.
•Purring-Like Rumbles – When being cuddled, much like a content hum.
•Tiny Growls & Playful Snaps – Practicing their vocal range when engaging with pack members.
3. Developing Pup Sounds (6 Months – 1 Year)
•Stronger Whimpers & Howls – Expressing longing for their Omega or Alpha.
•Soft Chuffing Sounds – A sign of affection or when curious.
•Pack Calling Whines – If left alone, they may emit a long, drawn-out whimper to call for their parent or packmates.
•Protective Yips & Barks – As their instincts develop, they may begin using short, sharp barks.
EXTRA CONTENT
🔸 How Pack Members Respond to Pup Sounds
•Omega Parent: Responds with soft coos, calming scents, or nuzzles.
•Alpha Partner: May instinctively lowly growl or rumble in response to reassure the pup.
•Betas or Other Pack Members: Use gentle hums or nuzzles to soothe pups.
If you would like for me to make more pup content I would gladly do some more
Omegas never laying on their backs, and always sleeping curled up to protect their necks and stomachs, except when they’re very secure in their nests or around very close packmates. If an Omega relaxes and shows you their belly, it’s a big display of comfort and trust, and it can sometimes be a display of submission from any of the dynamics.
And in consequences when the trust is achieved the omega becomes the cat that takes colonizing space on the bed as a personal challenge. The mate in question is thrilled because of the honour bestowed upon them but it doesn't make it difficult for them to fit on the bed so they just:
Silly question, are ruts as strong as heats? Do they have the same effect?
Not silly Nonny , but definitely a chance for me to elaborate in two post part. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoy writing it.
Thank you for the question!
Ruts & How They Affect the Body[ Part 1 ]
Age & Cycle Intensity: Why Young Adults & Adults Struggle More
When pups hit pre-puberty (around 9–14), they start showing signs of their secondary gender:
•A faint scent (milky, powdery) begins to change
•They get more protective, start scenting their belongings
•Nesting habits begin to form (usually instinctual and light)
But it’s when they hit 15–19 years old (young adult) that things get serious.
This is when full cycles begin—and the body starts shifting in painful, transformative ways.
Omega Heat (Young Adult vs. Adult)
Young Adult Omegas experience cold heats:
•They go through cramps, mood swings, slick production, and an overwhelming need to nest or feel secure
•Their scent grows stronger, fruitier, or floral, signaling that their body is preparing for fertility
•Emotionally? They feel tender, confused, and very raw
Adult Omegas experience full heats:
•Symptoms worsen: intense slick overflow, body temperature spikes, emotional waves
•Their scent grows rich, layered—like fresh berries with a musky sweetness or honeyed citrus
•They either crave solitude or desperately want comfort, depending on bond status
Alpha Rut (Young Adult vs. Adult)
Young Adult Alphas go through dry ruts:
•Less about reproduction, more about dominance, frustration, and instinct training
•Scent sharpens—think peppermint, mahogany, sandalwood, or smoky citrus
•They may lash out, grow moody, or need to “claim” safe objects (pillows, furniture)
Adult Alphas experience full ruts:
•Physical pain in muscles, rising testosterone, intense urges
•Their scent becomes deeper, spicier, often laced with cedar, cinnamon, or dark leather
•Without a bonded partner or scent anchor, ruts can feel isolating or overwhelming
There’s a common misconception that the worst cycles happen early—during puberty. But in truth, heats and ruts become far more intense and emotionally complex during the young adult and adult stages. Why? Because the body isn’t just experimenting with instincts anymore—it’s ready. And it knows it.
1 . Biological Readiness = Greater Intensity
By the time Omegas and Alphas reach young adulthood (15–19) and adulthood (20s–30s), their bodies are fully equipped for mating, bonding, and reproduction. This natural maturity comes with:
•Sharper instincts
•Heightened scent signatures
•More intense hormonal fluctuations
•Deeper physical symptoms like cramps, aching, temperature shifts, and sensitivity
2. Emotional and Psychological Impact
Unlike pre-teens or early teens who experience cold heats and dry ruts (milder, less focused cycles), young adults and adults understand more—and that’s part of what makes it harder.
•They know what heat or rut means
•They feel the weight of not having a partner or support system
•They battle between instinct and emotional readiness
This disconnect between what the body wants and what the heart or mind is ready for can lead to:
•Overwhelming cravings for touch, scent, and affection
•Mood swings, frustration, and confusion
•Deep sadness or restlessness, especially if unbonded or unclaimed
•The urge to nest, scent-mark, or seek out comfort—even if they don’t understand why
3. Physical Symptoms Are More Pronounced
As the body matures, symptoms grow:
•Omegas experience full slick production, intense core warmth, hyper-sensitive skin, and vivid scent shifts that range from soft and sweet to rich and overwhelming depending on where they’re touched or scented.
•Alphas go through powerful ruts, including strong urges to mount, mark territory, fight off rivals, and release tension. Their scents become muskier, more animalistic, and deeply territorial.
This phase can be debilitating, especially for those who suppress their cycles or are disconnected from pack support.
4. Mental Strain of Expectation
There’s an unspoken pressure—biological and social—that comes during these adult cycles:
•Omegas may feel like they should start preparing for pup care or choosing a mate.
•Alphas might feel like they’re failing if they don’t respond to their rut “correctly” or don’t have a bond partner.
That pressure alone can make each cycle feel heavier and more exhausting—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
I’m sorry it’s long but I’ll put out part two maybe tonight and link it
Hello! I just found your blog a couple of days ago and it's great! Your post about omega nesting was a very informative read :D
I do have a question tho,,, I wanted to ask if you could make a list of a/b/o scents? I know there's tons of them available on the internet but I'm trying to write a A/O story rn and... none of the scents I've read about has sparked my interests ;-; so yea, i was wondering if you could do one??
Thank You in advanced! :)
Hello there hon thank you for the question Nonny. I might make it a bit long so be patient with my prescription. I’ll try my best to provided the best of the best for my lovely Nonny.
Ps: head up this is what’s cannon on my Omegaverse world
Scent Layers in A/B/O (A/O specific)
So, we know scent isn’t just a smell—it’s communication, instinct, attraction, territory, and mood. Each Alpha and Omega has a base scent, emotional notes, and cycle-driven accents. These layers can intensify, sweeten, or sharpen depending on what’s happening in their body or mind.
🍒Omega Scents – Soft, Luring, and Deeply Emotional🍓
1. Base Scents (Always Present)
The base scent is the natural, resting smell of an Omega—gentle and inviting.
Fruity & Floral Bases:
•Blackberry & Honey – sweet and syrupy, sticks to skin and sheets
•Peach Blossom – soft, airy, with a bit of warmth
•Lavender Vanilla – calming, dreamy, and gentle
•Strawberries & Cream – youthful, fresh, with soft warmth
•Fig & Amber – warm, earthy sweetness with a grounding pull
Sure. Some of these might be repeats, lol. If they are, my bad.
Build-A-Bear, or similar stores, are really popular for young pups. The reason is that scent packets their parents can scent can be added in. So you'll see a lot of pups snuggling up with their stuffies when they miss their parents.
Pups taking naps in their parent's nests.
Parents lose their pups in the house because they fall asleep in the most random but coziest places.
It is a common phenomenon that pups form packs in school in their classes. They often move to the next grade as a pack if this happens.
Pups, around toddler age, pull a fainting goat/possum whenever they get too startled out of range of their parents. Cue their parents rousing them away with cuddles.
Pups are big cuddlers. Whenever there's a chance to cuddle someone they like it's free real estate.
A lot of people in the Omegaverse are sentimental, so the toys you see pups have come from their parents. Same goes for blankets.
Pups are very considerate without trying to be. They have a higher emotional intellect than that of irl children. They can understand quick. (This is specific to the biology and evolution of OV)
Siblings scent one another is so cute to me. They are out bonding and just hug a little, "Don't go too far."
I'm sorry, but pups on the baby leashes are so funny to me. In my headcanon there tend to be a lot of multiples and thinking of parents with a haul of kids is so silly.
Pups are always doing little crafts to give to their parents or favorite pack members. Just imagine their little backpacks filled with different drawings and macaroni art? I'm crying.
Understanding Temperature Regulation in Pups, Omegas, Betas, and Alphas
Temperature regulation is an important biological function in all secondary genders, affecting their health, comfort, and overall well-being. Each group—pups, Omegas, Betas, and Alphas—experiences different internal temperatures due to their unique biology. Here’s a deep dive into how they maintain, struggle with, and regulate their body temperature.
🐾 Temperature in Pups (Pre-Puberty)
Average Temperature: Slightly warmer than adults, around 99.1°F – 100.5°F (37.3°C – 38.1°C)
Pups tend to run warmer due to their high metabolism, constant energy use, and developing bodies. However, they also struggle with maintaining their temperature, especially in extreme climates.
🔸 Signs of Temperature Struggles in Pups
Cold Weather:
Pups become sluggish, clingy, and burrow into blankets or warm bodies.
Their scent may become weaker as their body focuses on heat retention.
Shivering and seeking out pack warmth is common.
Hot Weather:
They become easily irritable, restless, and pant more often.
Flushed skin, excess sweating, and an overwhelming desire to cool off.
Refusing to be touched due to overheating.
🔹 How Pups Regulate Their Temperature:
Cold: Nesting in warm blankets, cuddling with pack members, and wearing extra layers.
Heat: Cool baths, lightweight clothes, shade-seeking behavior, and increased hydration.
🌿 Temperature in Omegas
Average Temperature: 97.5°F – 99°F (36.3°C – 37.2°C) (Lower than Alphas but fluctuates)
Omegas naturally run cooler due to their biology being more sensitive to external temperatures. Their body adapts depending on their cycle—especially during heats or pregnancy.
🔸 How Omegas’ Temperature Changes:
Heats (100°F – 102°F / 37.7°C – 38.8°C):
Their body becomes significantly warmer to signal fertility.
They crave cold spaces, cold foods, and cool fabrics to regulate body heat.
Nests become cooler, often filled with silk or moisture-wicking fabrics.
Pregnancy (98°F – 100°F / 36.6°C – 37.7°C):
Their temperature stays elevated due to hormonal shifts.
More sensitive to cold environments, making them prone to nesting.
Will often seek warmth from pack members or heated blankets.
Cold Weather:
Omegas are more susceptible to chills, often needing layers to stay warm.
Their scent can become weaker in colder temperatures, affecting their mood.
More likely to curl into nests for warmth.
🔹 How Omegas Regulate Their Temperature:
•Heats: Ice packs, breathable clothing, staying in shaded areas, and eating cool fruits.
•Cold Weather: Heated blankets, fleece clothing, seeking out warm body heat (pack members or mates).
•Pregnancy: Layering clothing, warm food, and resting near heat sources.
🌙 Temperature in Betas
Average Temperature: 98.6°F – 99.3°F (37°C – 37.3°C) (Balanced and stable)
Betas have the most neutral body temperature, making them naturally less affected by extreme heat or cold. Their system is designed for adaptability, allowing them to thrive in a wide range of environments.
🔸 How Betas Experience Temperature:
•Stable metabolism helps them maintain homeostasis better than Alphas or Omegas.
•They don’t have heat cycles or ruts, so their temperature remains steady.
•Their body produces less pheromones, meaning they don’t experience temperature fluctuations like Omegas or Alphas.
🔹 How Betas Regulate Their Temperature:
•Naturally regulate well, needing minimal effort to stay comfortable.
•More prone to overheating when exposed to extreme Alpha or Omega pheromones.
Average Temperature: 99.5°F – 101°F (37.5°C – 38.3°C) (Higher than Omegas and Betas)
Alphas naturally run hotter due to their strong metabolism, muscle mass, and high energy output. This makes them more resistant to cold but more prone to overheating—especially during ruts.
🔸 How Alphas’ Temperature Changes:
•Ruts (101°F – 103°F / 38.3°C – 39.4°C)
•Their body heats up significantly, making them more aggressive and restless.
•More likely to seek cooler spaces and strip down to minimal clothing.
•Overheating causes excess sweating, making them more scent-heavy.
Cold Weather
•Alphas rarely feel cold due to their higher internal temperature.
•Their scent can become stronger as their body compensates for the cold.
•May become more protective over pack members, acting as a heat source.
🔹 How Alphas Regulate Their Temperature:
•Ruts: Ice baths, staying in cool environments, avoiding overheating.
•Cold Weather: Providing warmth for Omegas and pups, using body heat to regulate pack temperature.
Currently thinking about putting out some information about pups, omegas, betas, and alphas body temperature or the type of sounds that pups make before and after their are born and how omegas, betas , and alphas pack/ guardians/parents would react to the sounds.
