Lost series  

Most of us have smart phones, and without them we would feel “lost”. This series is a depiction of that concept, displaying my interpretation of feeling lost in the 21 century.

  This piece is based on an interlude from the Jungle hits vinyl, “gangsta kid” by Shy FX and Gunsmoke and has been a pressing memory from my childhood.

 At the age of 6 my older brother would play the song over and over, imbedding the voices of Gunsmoke, Kane and Ace in my young impressionable mind. I always assumed that the audio was taken from a film, only to discover years later that it was an urban myth that had been reenacted by SHY FX and Gunsmoke. A part of me was disappointed as I had always wanted to see the entire film, however being a creative allowed me to bring this exciting audio to life and recreate the visuals that so vividly played in my mind.

 My aim was to create nostalgic piece that captured the essence of the era an in turn  paying homage to 90’ UK youth culture had been playing in my mind for over 20 years, allowing my generation to finally put faces to these infamous characters.

The Kenny series is the first series under the new brand. For me this is a representation of my rebirth, the balaclava is the sheet that has been covering my creative expression, and the young lady being a representation of my child like presents with in the creative industry.
